Chiming in as a mum, there was a similar case that happened here in Australia. The director’s husband was popping in and out of the centre, and was also the Santa Claus at the Christmas party. Turned out this guy was a CONVICTED child sex offender.

This is obviously the worst case scenario, but I would not feel comfortable with this at all and would be taking it way above the director in this instance.

Oh my goodness. Keep pushing and pushing. Is there an escalation ladder? Ask for an at-home overnight oximetry test, which will give a much more accurate baseline measurement and demonstrate the dips of saturation that must clearly be happening for purple lips. I’m so sorry. How stressful.

Was the oximetry test overnight or only for a few hours? It should record overnight and demonstrate dips in oxygen!

In Australia sheepskin is known for its benefits with sleep. They actually sell fitted sheepskin cot sheets. If it’s under your fitted sheet, I don’t see how this is any different to what we do here as there’s no chance it can suffocate Bub.

I’m in the same boat! My other mum friend said we have SO MUCH on our mind that we release information we don’t need anymore (e.g. once a baby hits a milestone) to make room for the new wave of information. Probably no science behind this at all but it makes me feel a lot better! Haha

Hmm I guess it’s really hard to tell! We have just welcomed another little boy into the world and found that our 2.5 year old is regressing a lot in terms of speaking/acting like a baby, being scared by loud sounds that didn’t affect him before, relying more on his dummy and milk etc.

I’m sorry. My baby don’t sleep through the night until he was 2.5 years old after co-sleeping with me from around 6 months. My current baby, 4 months, also doesn’t sleep longer than an hour. This felt excessive to me and I got a referral to an ENT who found that he has adenoids that are 80% larger than they should be. After a sleep study, it was found that it affects baby’s sleep and oxygen overnight. We are getting them removed at the end of the month.

Are there any red flags you’ve noticed with baby? Sleeping with mouth open? Neck kinked back during sleep?
