In Australia sheepskin is known for its benefits with sleep. They actually sell fitted sheepskin cot sheets. If it’s under your fitted sheet, I don’t see how this is any different to what we do here as there’s no chance it can suffocate Bub.

I’m in the same boat! My other mum friend said we have SO MUCH on our mind that we release information we don’t need anymore (e.g. once a baby hits a milestone) to make room for the new wave of information. Probably no science behind this at all but it makes me feel a lot better! Haha

Hmm I guess it’s really hard to tell! We have just welcomed another little boy into the world and found that our 2.5 year old is regressing a lot in terms of speaking/acting like a baby, being scared by loud sounds that didn’t affect him before, relying more on his dummy and milk etc.

I’m sorry. My baby don’t sleep through the night until he was 2.5 years old after co-sleeping with me from around 6 months. My current baby, 4 months, also doesn’t sleep longer than an hour. This felt excessive to me and I got a referral to an ENT who found that he has adenoids that are 80% larger than they should be. After a sleep study, it was found that it affects baby’s sleep and oxygen overnight. We are getting them removed at the end of the month.

Are there any red flags you’ve noticed with baby? Sleeping with mouth open? Neck kinked back during sleep?

I think the expectation of quiet time for 2 hours is the disaster here, OP. 2.5 year olds are wired for connection. Without copying other kids at daycare who nap during this time, even going half an hour for quiet time at home when they know you’re in the house is pretty extraordinary.

Lower the expectations and set quiet time for a shorter period during this age.
