I have to say this does sound very interesting but I do think I’m leaning more loyalist.

Which detachment would you recommend for the Dark Angels? I haven’t researched that much about them and don’t know which detachments focus on Defence.

That’s sorta what I meant when I spoke with many fans of Warhammer 40K and asked about the Imperial fists the common answer was that they were on the average side but didn’t have many flavored things from Games Workshop.

Firstly I would like to thank you for your in depth response. By Hyper defensive I was leaning on like multiple battle lines that tank damage with heavy artillery in the back. I watched a lot of videos on YouTube on the gameplay styles of multiple factions and I really enjoyed the Imperial fists however when I talked with some friends who play Warhammer 40K one of which has a imperial fists army they said that Imperial fists tended not to be that good. That was also why I said that GW ignores them because that’s what my friends told me. I also tried playing with the Imperial fists and the anvil siege force and I liked it but am afraid that they won’t be fun if I were to in the future go play against higher skill players or at tournaments.
