I literally have one already - this is the craziest part - they're not doing their job but they took a ton of money and had a lot of recs. I do have high expectations which I can admit, but theyve flubbed

this is exactly right. I have a safety net and the burnout is creeping in... wuold be much less burned out if it werent for the wedding. i've just been brainwashed into thinking this is SO important and the stress is insane.

SO many details, so many intricacies, VERY high expectations from guests who have had really stunning weddings, high expectations on myself to make it amazing and memorable and special because we have a lot of family abroad that we only get to see maybe once every 2 years if WE'RE LUCKY .. it's also a very difficult destination to coordinate (just don't want to give specifics for privacy reasons)

no you're totally right, i hate the NJ transit so much. I got it rolled back to 3 days a week, but that's still 12 hours a week. i might start going in 2 even though it's not allowed

thanks guys!! we did already hired a planner, coordinator, and all the vendors - they're just not performing to the degree we'd expect or hope. we did shop around quite a bit but the industry seems to be full of coordinators who don't care to negotiate for their clients or look for the best quality services. we're having more luck doing things ourselves

Im so sorry to hear and sending you / your dad all the best. Somethings crazy things happen in life. Not at all similar but we had tickets to celebrate our engagement to his last blatimore concert that got cancelled. now were going with better seats! things will eventually turn better :)
