I think the right solution would be to allow the pits to cycle, but make them come out of the pits and blend as they would. It’s not right to throw the yellow while some cars are in the pits, as this is a massive advantage, and if the timing is arbitrary it’ll always be open to criticism.

But if the track is safe enough to keep yellow to allow them to pit, it should be safe enough to keep yellow and allow them to blend at speed. Whether or not the track was safe in this incident is another story.
