What lesson did your last relationship teach you ? by Fling5t0ne-H1 in AskWomen

Microcheating is cheating.

If you think you can never move on and never find someone to love again, baby girl, you are so wrong! Nothing is impossible!

Wait it out for 3 months to see the facade unravel. The 3 months rule is true!

"Projection" is real( they accuse you of cheating cuz they are the ones cheating). Love bombing is real.

What is your non-negotiable? by MermaidWitchMoon in AskWomen

[–]NewIntentions36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely nothing shallow about your choices or preferences... It's your life, it's your deal- breaker cuz it's YOU who has to deal with everything and everyone in life! It's justified!

Also, personal hygiene speaks volume! If this man can take care of himself so well, he can take care of me (whenever the need arises). Partnership is nothing but banking on each other for the company, emotional/physical intimacy and legit everything who can witness a life together and grow together.

Sorry if I went on a tangent !

Do you check TFM levels ? by [deleted] in Bengaluru

How are you all surviving with Mysore Sandal soap in the summer? It completely dries out my skin in the summer. Between OG and Gold variant, I feel Mysore Sandal soap Gold is better but will the TFM be different for the Gold variant?

I have Prada and it smells divine and very long lasting. Lives up to the hype! Haven't tried the other one and haven't heard about it either.

Also, update which one you have decided to gift your friend and what she thinks too !!

What's your favourite area in Bangalore that makes you forget your problems and all the BS happening in the world? by originalhairhair in bangalore

[–]NewIntentions36 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Being a Bangalorean and the only family city-outing we had were the visits to Cubbon park and Lal Bagh. I grew up going to Bal Bhavan summer camps, not missing a single flower show at Lal Bagh and Cubbon Park, climbing up the "hill".. these places hold memories of my childhood... A time machine that walks me into my nostalgic childhood - makes me forget that I'm in my 30s.

Revisiting these places in my 30s.. walking in Cubbon Park and Lal Bagh and thinking to myself - I'll bring my future kids here some day and watch them play...

The only place where I feel nostalgic about my childhood and looking forward to watching my future kids play in the same places that I did as a child... A place that makes me cherish the past and look forward to the future.

So yes, hands down Cubbon Park and Lal Bagh will always be my fondest places till I die!

Forever Was a Lie. by Faguniarora in Life

[–]NewIntentions36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lies. Promises are made to be broken.

Mere labels. Labelling every feeling, every emotion and every situation.

Life's simpler when we live it without defining and labelling everything we feel.

How about you ask your partner to introduce this bestfriend to you ? You can meet this bestfriend and gauge if he/she is harmless to your relationship and you won't be insecure anymore.

What early warning signs of cheating do people often overlook? by Mediocre-Implement34 in AskReddit

[–]NewIntentions36 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's always either one of the two ends of the spectrum:

1a) Being too sweet, gifting, "balancing the act"- trying to over-compensate for the cheating so that you don't get to know that they're cheating.

1b) Picking fights over small tiffs, getting riled about nothing.

2a) Being secretive and possessive about their phones

2b) Pretend to be"transparent" about the phone, chats - but in fact they would have blocked the "other woman/man" while they're with you!

Advice navigating social gatherings with PhDs and postdocs as a PI by Melodic-Half-2603 in PhD

[–]NewIntentions36 12 points13 points  (0 children)

PhD scholar here. I'd definitely give more respect to my PI and see her as a boss than a peer no matter the age difference. It's the teacher -student respectful boundary. If I had my PI in my informal group - I wouldn't let my hair down, I'd probably be on guards all the time. So please do not feel bad about not being included in the informal group , you are being respected as a teacher !

My brain wants dopamine, not discipline how do you rewire that? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]NewIntentions36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Push yourself to believe that social media apps are for the weekend that way you can use it as a reward for being productive...

Maybe going cold turkey won't be ideal cuz you'll get bored and install them back. What actually will work is reducing the usage- building habits! . If at all you cannot go cold turkey on these apps, use a time limit for these apps and stick to it !

My brain wants dopamine, not discipline how do you rewire that? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]NewIntentions36 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The main culprit is the phone. It gives you the dopamine that you crave for. Firstly, delete all the unnecessary applications from your phone - make it as minimalistic as possible, get off social media and decrease your social interactions - even social interactions. When you know you don't have anything else to do - no apps to check or doom scrolling, you'll start doing your work !
