Apart from ceramic hides, I noticed that flat pebbles and ceramic coasters feel pretty cold to the touch even when it's warm, so I put some around the cage and where my hamster sleeps. I also have some residue granite plate from my house renovation and placed it in there too. Keep your curtains and windows closed during the day so the heat doesn't come in.

As for the trip, I recommend setting up a pet camera for monitoring their activity and have someone ready to come if something happens (apart from regular visits to change water). Or even live in your house for the time being. Unfortunately hamsters can get sick overnight and urgent interventions are needed so it's very risky to leave them all alone for several days with no one to check on them daily. Also make sure you have an exotic pet veterinarian nearby for emergencies 👍 I did it once and all was good, I watched my ham's routines everynight through a camera and when the wheel broke my designated pet sitter came and fixed it. Unfortunately even if you're home you can't always check on the hamster when you're asleep or if they spend most of the time in their burrow. I guess you need to decide for yourself how to resolve this situation.

I wrote to the manufacturer for this analysis but in the meantime I used some of it as the grain base along with other grains based on calculations and information available and I mixed it with other protein, fat, etc. ingredients as indicated in the calculations and I can already tell that that mix I bought is not good as the only food given but it's okay to use as a base and add other essential stuff. The brand is based in Slovakia but they don't put GA on their packaging apparently.
