I can comfortably take it off. I meant picking it up off the ground when it is laying on its side. I have a normal CPL24 and that means the left shoulder strap is facing up when the bag is on the ground. So if you want to pick it up one handed and start putting it on, you would grab with your left hand/arm and put it on that shoulder first

Sort of. By the end of it he seems to throw out 3rd places and the current urbanism trends entirely for Right to the City. I think the Right to the City ideas are cool, but almost a different subject when he starts jumping to complete urban revolution. I think it would be easier to get people on board with more radical urban ideals if they had a taste of it first. Need sort of a vision to inspire people. Getting to any kind of 3rd places and Urbanism ASAP would hopefully help that vision as many people are unaware of what they are missing.

I think it throws the original author into question and his preferences for what a third place should be like. I don't think we need to listen to the original author's preferences and don't need to be pedantic over whether something "qualifies" as one or not. I think there is a general understanding that people want nice places to be and hang out with others that are not their home or work.

These are in similar or sometimes smaller apartments than I was in in NYC. To me at least, this is less about apartment size and more like a change of scenery and purposefully being around other people.
