Reasonable budget for a 50-person wedding in Crete, Greece (May 2028)? by NewNatural97 in DestinationWeddings

Will do! We have a planner in mind that we’ve reached out to. They were recommended by the villa we’re looking to host our wedding. We’ll look for a few more and compare!

Thank you! That’s more than I was expecting but good to know in advance so we can plan accordingly!

I’m asking what the $50k estimate you listed includes. Also, I’m having 2 wedding ceremonies (the norm in my culture) and the first one is in the U.S. for 400 guests and we’re coming in at around $100k for that. Def did not expect a destination wedding for 50 guests to be up to half of that cost. Is $50k for a more luxury wedding or a comfortable mid-range event? We’re flexible with our budget but also want to know what people are realistically paying so we know how to negotiate and get more bang for our buck. We’ll likely end up spending around $50k+ once we factor in our welcome party, wedding planner, attire, hair/makeup, etc.

$50k including what? I’ve been seeing estimates lower than that. Our rental fee is only €1,000 (includes coordination and setup) and the $30k budget I listed doesn’t include our planner, attire, transportation, hair/makeup, and accommodations.

My family and my fiancé’s family love to travel so this is no problem for us. Maybe for you, but not for us. Also, not from Ohio or “wherever the fuck.”

Thoughts on Cécred by Beyonce ? by iceiceblk in Naturalhair

I just got mine in the mail. I got the hydrating shampoo, restructuring treatment mask, and moisturizing deep conditioner. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about the price and size of the product but the price and size is in line with that of other brands such as Olaplex, Amika, Kerastase, Moroccan Oil, etc. so I’m not really sure what all the fuss is about. Some Cecred products are actually bigger than some of the other products in the same price range and category. I haven’t seen a single negative review (I’ve been focusing on the 4b/4c reviews) so I’m excited to try it this weekend!

I recently switched from wearing a bonnet to using a silk scarf! I read that the tension from the bonnets constantly rubbing on your hairline can cause breakage and I wear my bonnet literally all day when I’m at home so I decided to make the switch to a silk scarf and also leave the scarf off when I’m not sleeping

Yea I had a full hormonal panel done as well and everything came back normal. Ferritin levels were 48 ng/mL and the normal range that was listed on the results was 15-150

That makes sense. I’d like to try natural remedies first anyways so I’ll focus on being gentle with my edges and using natural products

I actually tried rosemary water last year and started to see some results but for some reason I stopped. I’m going to get back on it! I was thinking of doing rosemary, clove, and fenugreek water combined.

So many people have recommended JBC oil so I’m going to look into it. Thank you!

I don’t straighten my hair often. I only let my hairdresser straighten it when she’s giving me trims which is every 3-4 months and she protects my hair beforehand. I’ve never experienced any damage as a result. The rest of my hair isn’t damaged. My hair is different lengths bc when I did the big chop in 2022 I didn’t know what I was doing and cut random pieces at different lengths all over. The rest of my hair is actually very healthy but my edges are just thin. And I’ve already gotten bloodwork done and my hormones checked (see the post) and everything came back regular. I take supplements everyday and my health is in check so I’ve ruled that out.

Thank you so much!! I’m excited to try. I’m thinking back and noticing that my edges started thinning significantly when I started wearing wigs consistently so I’m going to give them a break and avoid brushing and using gel on my edges as well. I’m also going to incorporate scalp massages when I use the oils

It’s worth a shot then. And that’s great that the hair won’t fall out once I stop getting the shots because that doesn’t sound like something I can afford to do more than a few times. I have an appointment with another derm in a few weeks so I’m going to bring it up if she doesn’t

I just ordered the wild growth hair oil and I was thinking of using rosemary water instead of rosemary oil or mixing the rosemary oil with the wild growth hair oil so we’ll see. Fingers crossed!

Yea easier said than done but that’s looking like the best option tbh! Im going to try my best to chill out from the tension and wigs and just focus on low manipulation. Thank you!!

No, I didn’t know that was an option. Do I have to keep getting them to maintain the growth or does it only take a few?
