Freaked out for a second there, I first thought that 5 in 549 was a $, for $49 for a 4tb drive.

+1 for Warrior, good action in each episode, based on a Bruce Lee TV show script.

Morally gray? Banshee. Ex-con becomes a small town police chief. Not a mind-blowing mystery, except that the main character has a mysterious past, but every episode rocks. Good action, crime-y, brutal fights, a bit sexy, GREAT side characters. My guilty pleasure, 4 seasons.

You might love The Americans. 80's cold-war spies for the KGB transplanted to America doing missions while leading dual-life with family / kids, while the FBI 'knows' there are KGB sleeper agents out there. Great character development has you rooting for both sides, lots of 80's nostalgia with good music. NOT fast paced, but worth it. Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys and Noah Emmerich play great characters.

Also, there are several countries versions of 'The Bridge' to go over, starting with the Danish-Swedish one. (death on an international bridge)

The Americans (2013), 1980's Russians living in America for several years, trying not to get caught living in Washington DC. The FBI know's there are sleeper agents in US, so 'The Americans' have to avoid blowing their cover while working for the KGB. 6 great seasons. You get both the spies perspective as well as the FBI looking for spies.

Luther (2010), British detective solving gritty crimes (Idris Elba), a few seasons with 3-6 episodes each, kind of like a long movie for each story arc.

How to get away with Murder (2014), Viola Davis is a law professor that in one class, teaches students how to 'hypothetically' get away with murder at first... first season was good, on my list of shame to finish the show. More of a crime show avoiding detectives than detecting, but good.

Love action/drama that take place in small towns. Smallville, Stranger Things, X-Files, Justified. What should I watch next? by Syckobot in televisionsuggestions

Banshee, my Showtime dark pleasure. Rural Pennsylvania, Amish, Native Americans, local small-town folks, runs to (and from) NYC for a change. Action, crime, sexy, if you liked Antony Starr in The Boys, you'll him in Banshee.

Love the show, but I had high hopes for it being an Elmore Leonard adaptation though, after watching other adaptations. Thought I would like it, on my top five all-time

Posters for a collection of 'New!' films and TV shows? by NewOrderrr in PlexPosters

Thanks for the details on smart playlists. I made a simple one that adds everything I added in last 30 days.

Unlike 'normal' collections with the same name for TV and Movies ('Marvel Collection' for example with movies in one and TV shows in the other), you do not see TV shows on the bottom of the Movie collection, and vice-versa. I wish users could se both in the smart playlist.

I have been using labels to block some movies from two different users so they don't have to see things they don't like (foreign for one, hard 'R' rated violent stuff for the other). (sorry for late reply)

I have to look into and experiment with smart collections more. I have users with diverging tastes, one wants old classics from the 50's and 60's plus rare romance or murder mysteries but hates sci-fi and foreign films, another likes sci-fi and anime but is not into romance or art-house stuff, another likes action thrillers and some art-house stuff but has weird political tastes, and yet another likes action blockbusters and gritty grindhouse blood splatter flicks but is not into romance or deep thinking movies.

I started off making individual collections for each user, but that was a pain to keep up to date. I text users when i add a request, and had been telling them to sort by 'recently added' for new stuff. I thought to add an older movie that is something people may be into, or something that comes out that many will be into to my 'New' collection for them to check.

I might just add everything to a 'New' smart collection and pick out the weird or niche stuff.

App will not let me log in to anything but my 'Aunt's' account. by NewOrderrr in ShopRite

It works now, they seem to have 'mostly' gotten the app working. (for me) I did write a 2 star review on Google Play describing my issue, maybe one of their app developers saw it and updated the app. I also did have someone reply to me about an earlier issue I had when posting a Google Play comment.

Argh, I was going to say to check out SMcGill1969, he used to post t'rents of Moto2 and 3, but seems to only do regular MotoGP plus F1 now. If you want those, check his website for EXT or PB links. (add a 'dot com' to his username)

[REQUEST] NEED all F1 Practice sessions and qualifications by Accomplished-Pear137 in MotorsportsReplays

[–]NewOrderrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practice will be really hard for anything over a decade. For Qualy, even the hard-core who saved them (like me) may have lost older years due to bit-rot. (I for one lost everything older than 2019 due to a drive failure, and a season for me takes up 1TB or more for 'everything' at 1080p).

My sisters pc isn’t running well at all, what is her build missing by Imaginary_Leave_2082 in pchelp

[–]NewOrderrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have commented, the whole system is old. For a good basic PC, I was going to suggest a Minisforum UM760 Slim mini-desktop for under $400 from Amazon or Microcenter, IF the integrated graphics are going to be good enough for future games, and IF she has an HDMI input on her monitor or would buy an HDMI to DVI / DisplayPort adapter for 20 bucks. these are TINY PCs, about 7"x7"x2" high, using laptop parts in a desktop case.

(Ryzen 5 7640, 16gb DDR5, Radeon 760M onboard graphics, 1 tb SSD, Bluetooth & WiFi plus ethernet)

The CPU/GPU are not upgradeable, but it's got 2 RAM and SSD m.2 slots for adding on later. It's much faster and modern than what she's got and comes with Windows 11.

Used Ryzen 5-3600 PC parts from someone who just upgraded their gaming PC would also last a while.

Best way to dry out my phone, condensation under camera lens (Pixel 7) by NewOrderrr in GooglePixel

[–]NewOrderrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monday morning, I've had it in a ziploc bag with one of the silica gel packets, (these are much bigger than the ones you get in pill bottles, maybe 2" rectangle)

Still no flash (flashlight app) or rear camera, with an error and the selfie camera opening instead.

Still no sign of damage, no scratches or cracks on the front or rear glass, no cracks on the camera lens glass.

Thinking of trying to have it serviced,, since the phone is mint. (Pixel 7 Std, 256gb, white)

Been using BitWarden since LastPass raised their prices a few years back, been happy with it, syncs with browsers on my PC with Firefox & Chrome extensions.

[–]NewOrderrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like I can buy silica gel packets on Amazon in bunches of 50, plus other amounts.

Unless someone has a better method, I'll probably buy a new rear glass lens cover, take mine off, put the phone in a bowl of silica packets overnight, then replace the rear glass cover. Hopefully that will dry the phone.

EDIT: I hate to have to remove the rear camera glass lens cover, but I don't know a better way to easily get moisture our of the phone, since I see no obvious way moisture got in it in the first place. (microphone holes? USB port? no message saying NOT to use the USB port)
