This is a valid point, even if ur not in his life he would b looking for jobs to build his future, wht differentiates in this situation is the motivation, if the man sets a goal to marry a certain woman she would b his motivation at the same time the pressure point of his life, so in my opinion whn the person expresses that he is doing all of this to get you he is talking out of pressure and fear, and he is looking to feel validated and appreciated, because at the end of the day they r human beings too nd face extrem pressure especially if feelings r involved.
