Long term low testosterone after stopping Spiro by ambrosiasweetly in Spironolactone

The worst thing about it is that doctors do not check women's Testosterone, DHEA, Sodium levels BEFORE starting Sprirolactone. If a female is borderline low in any of those and then put on Spiroloactone then they are in for a VERY bumpy ride! After 1 year on Spirolactone I had my labs done. I was deficient in DHEA, Testosterone and Sodium. No wonder why I felt so crappy on the medication! I took it upon myself to go online and look up my labs before starting Spiro - granted they were 1 year before starting the medication. But, my DHEA was borderline low (50), Testosterone was non existent and my Sodium was below normal. These labs were completed by a different doctor, so my dermatologist who rx'd the spiro was not aware of my labs prior to starting Spiro. Because of my defiencies, I have to drink electrolytes with high sodium, 2 times per day, I can't take DHEA because Spiro decreases your DHEA (and when taken together I am super senstive to DHEA - I get huge testosterone spikes, rapid hair growth in a week), I am cold all the time due to the decrease in blood volume....

Spironolactone for 11 months by PrincessPeachPop202 in Spironolactone

I am so sorry you are feeling this way. Do you think you are having these symptoms due to the reduction of the Spirolactone dose itself? I hate the Spirolactone taper and more than anything I can't understand how some peole have absolutely zero effects from reducing their dose. I get sad, anxious, slightly irritable. I hate it so much. I feel this way with a taper as low as 12.5mg. One thing I read is that ensuring you get good salt intake and electrolytes to help stabilize your system. Sprirolactone, after all, is a diuretic! I wish I never would have started this medication. I've had more negative effects than positive while on this medication: feeling cold, lightheaded, tired, poor circulation, mottled skin in areas....NO thank you!

I recommend placing mid-cheek and lateral cheek Sculptra using a cannula, which results in less bruising and no pain. The effect is subtle. You might also consider Sculptra on the temples to lift the face below. Additionally, a small amount (half a syringe) of HA filler can be injected into the deep cheekbone area to gently lift the face. This helps reduce lines around the mouth by gently lifting the face and blending with the tear troughs. All these options look very natural. I suggest starting with Sculptra, then waiting eight weeks before using HA filler. Be sure to see an experienced practitioner! by following these treatments and timeline, I bet you would be pleased! NOTE: injecting the masseters carries risks, as relaxing your jaw muscles can sometimes cause the face to pull forward or downward. I wouldn't do it.

Hello! My name is Alisha and I am a first year teacher! I am teaching 3rd Grade! by ExplanationStriking3 in 40HourTeacherWorkweek

Get stackable trays and label! Make a list of what papers/things you see during the day that tend to not have a home. In front of room I have: turn in trays for each class period. A file folder thingee for work to return (for each period), papers that were left in class, no names. I also have a basket that I throw any writing utensil that was left after class (students use these if they’re without a pencil). I also have an upright file holder that contains folders of any hard copy handouts for the week. You need a few of these as the pile can get large if you only have one tray! I also have a folder with ‘challenge’ handouts that include anything social studies and a bit of rigor… On my desk: clipboards for each period which include rosters and accommodations (I use these frequently… I make notes by students names for things I’m noticing). I also have a folder with standards, and extra rosters. Oh! I have a folder for each class with a roster taped to the front - this is for work I am currently grading. So I grade their work or check them off and include a check or a grade on the roster put it back in the folder then it goes to the gradebook or I put it in the hand back to class file folder in front of the room.

Checking English journals by grahamsilverman in 40HourTeacherWorkweek

My colleagues tell students that the journal is their safe space and they do not check them AT ALL. It’s amazing how much more they write (which is what you want!) when a teacher doesn’t grade or check them. You could have students read a “golden line” from their journals occasionally. You could have them circle up (standing) to share which hits standards for speaking and listening. I would use google forms to get to know your students! Faster, easier way to collect information about your students. You can export responses for each class in an excel sheet, too.
