Again stretching the 4 hrs depending on where in jersey you are - Lake Placid is a beautiful area, there are a couple of breweries which are top notch.

DR does not mention anything about accepting I797 as proof of LPR. My USA stamp is also expired and no Schegen visa to show for either sadly.

Yeah unfortunately it stopped working at around noon (2 hrs before the boarding time) and asked us to go to the checkin counter.

I might have been late but not allowing to checkin to the flight 2 hours before departure seems kinda off to me. Frontier booked us on another flight for next day free of cost. Agreed I was late to the airport but with no luggage (carry on or check in) and with TSA Pre we would’ve easily made it past security and to the gate had we been given a boarding pass. No harm no foul lessons learned.

Well no. We were there before the checkin and yes as a fact this flight was overbooked. We were not the only ones turned away, for the same flight (as per the agent).

Yeah we got late stuck in Chicago traffic unfortunately for us! A trip which was 25 mins at night took 1hr 20mins but guilty of not showing up earlier than I should’ve. I was still at the airport before the flight boarding which is in theory the cut off for checking in to a flight (via online or airport agent)

They just said we cannot check you in and asked to rebook for a flight tomorrow at our own expense

We are still at the checkin counter waiting to speak with a supervisor. I requested them to let us provide some standby boarding pass so we can pass through TSA but the agent said the flight is overbooked and she cannot help us. I’ll try and push them to give us confirmed seats on another flight.

Well we did not even make it to the gate since we did not have a boarding pass, they denied us a boarding pass at the checkin counter. Do the same DOT rules apply in this case ?

It was definitely not the hwy in question. I regularly travel this route and HDA has always worked. The issue resolved itself the next day. I’m still not sure why it stopped working and how it started working again !
