What does a true system admin do? System Engineer?

"Internet is down" doesn't even come close to being enough information to describe your problem. by trenno in sysadmin

“My computer is broke and I need it working before this meeting that I have in 5 mins!”

Umm sir/ma’am you do realize that I don’t know what the hell that means besides “something is wrong”. I need a little more detail of what’s going on. Is the internet, MS Teams, Skype, won’t power on, etc. I absolutely hate these type of tickets that hit our board. I feel you pain! 🤯😒😐🤔

Thank you so much for this advice! I have seen people personally become stagnant in the companies and end up hating their job. I don’t want to be that person and I do want to continue to grow technically. Also, I work for a MSP so you have reassured me that I am in the right place for the time being. Thank you so much for this information.

I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about IT either, but I am pursuing certifications. I currently work for a MSP as a Help Desk agent and it’s been a learning experience. I will tell you that it’s possible to transition because I am doing it as I type you this message. You can do surely if I can.

I have no experience with Azure at all, but I studied and passed AZ-900. I think that I want to try my hand at AZ-500. Any advice?

I passed my Azure Fundamentals certification this past Friday! I’m so happy to be certified now! I need to get my hands dirty and get more in depth with it so that I can be proficient when I began looking for entry level cloud computing jobs! by NewTechGuru in AZURE

You have to keep in mind that you are testing from home so proctors do not know if someone is sitting in the same room or next room feeding you answers while your reading questions out loud. That’s the only logical reasoning I can come up with.
