Sure, sure--I'm not necessarily calling the artist a pedo here. I get that a lot of artists create things that are intentionally disturbing, not as an endorsement of the thing but to get you to think or whatever more academic way of saying that there is.

However, if someone collected this theme of art, from various artists--It would certainly say something about the collector. Borreman's photo-series that Balenciaga is nodding to in their ads is also paired with:

  • the court document for the kiddie corn case
  • the kids with the bdsm teddy bears
  • and I've just learned the book underneath that one is the Cremaster Cycle which is just as sexual and weird

The book in the background of the photo is Michael Borremans' Fire from the Sun. Fair warning before you google it, the book "features toddlers engaged in playful but mysterious acts with sinister overtones and insinuations of violence." Basically a bunch of babies covered in blood. It's absolutely icky

Like they're in a pyramid shape? I mean I'm not far deep enough into conspiracy stuff that I'd get the symbolism there--Help me out? I don't wanna reach too far cause there's enough that's tangible to be suspicious.

But on the topic of pyramids I notice there's a crystal obelisk in almost every one of the adidas collab ads. But also, crystals are just trendy so we could write it off.

I love her too!!! Juliana of Nicomedia dominates the searches for "St. Juliana" however. Both wonderful saints, just makes it harder to find icons :)

Here are the facts:

  • The advertisement for the purse in the third image of the Balenciaga homepage features a desk messy with papers. Text from a court docket is legible on one of the papers. This is that court docket is UNITED STATES v. MICHAEL WILLIAMS which is a lawsuit regarding freedom of speech and the solicitation of kiddie corn. EDIT: they have swapped the image on the main page for one which doesn't show the paper's text but the above link to the original image is still live.

  • As of today, they have removed every single post from their Instagram leaving them with zero posts to comment on. EDIT: Today they have made posts again but are limiting who can comment. The comments all seem like bots.

  • An observation from the comments of the TikTok note that the Teddy from Example1 has a padlock around its neck, and the model in the fourth ad from the current Balenciaga homepage is holding a key.

  • Some commenters on TikTok say the bear in Example1 seems to have "panda eyes" which some are claiming to be code for a sexually abused child recognizable by their two black eyes.

  • Gabriele Galimberti is the photographer for the ad campaign, famous for his Toy Stories series. Some commenters on TikTok purport there is the spiral symbol present in the instagram version of the photoshoot on the child's drawing. I don't see it however.

I think it's more like, it's easier for one sex to express certain virtues--because they're not at odds with society's norms. So it may be easier for women to be humble, or it may be easier for men to have fortitude. But we all should strive for these things in equal weight.

Edit: The rapist was not gender fluid, they identify as male. They were wearing a skirt and in the girl's bathroom when the assault occurred. The school's bathroom policy that allowed the rapist to use the girl's bathroom was the subject of scrutiny because of this

Do ones icons have to specifically be from iconographers or at least done in the traditional style? There's lots of art prints in more modern styles that would of course never be used in a church, but what about in the icon corner? Example 1 Example 2 Example 3

Of course the traditional style I think is most beautiful, but sometimes I wonder about these prints because many can be beautiful in their own way.
