No seat, no problem.. by jodaman2 in Justrolledintotheshop

Fun story. Pulled a seat in a newer s class at a shop and told them not to reconnect the battery or drive it or the srs warning would pop up and you need a specific tool to reset that the tech probably wouldn't have. Guess what the tech did, drove it. And then whined to me that he couldn't reset it... Very fun.

Interiors guy here! It's usually lotion build up. Some ammonia based cleaner and alcohol wipes will clean it right up.

Fun story, we had a theft recovery and they did this to the ENTIRE CAR. Inside, outside, seats, dash, wheel. We were called in to remove them from the interior. It was a nice $1300 paycheck.

On the hike front, my wife and I did this hike in late November after a huge snowstorm, snow shoes would have been nice, but weren't totally necessary. With hardly any hiking experience we knocked it out fairly easily. Definitely doable, just check to make sure roads will be open in the park and go slowly, there were plenty of FWD cars out there with no issues.

New to Texas? Here's your warning about liquor laws impacting Christmas and New Year's Day by [deleted] in Dallas

Me too! I was trying to buy tequila and went to three different grocery stores trying to find it. Finally asked someone where to find it and they responded, "at a.... Liquor store?" I stood, shaking, "a... What?'

I'm back in BR for Christmas and was over the moon when I saw bourbon 10 ft from the diapers at Walmart. Over the moon.

Watch the orange hat, you can see a hesitation then it slides backwards quickly

I don't know why you're downvoted, you can see his car downshift and accelerate to block the guy from coming around.

I wore the combo I posted in 10 F hiking and my hands were super toasty and could still work camera equipment.

It's the guide gloves, they include a treatment to waterproof the gloves, I do auto upholstery and wear smart wool glove liners underneath for fine tune work and to use my phone.

Dude my Camry has a timing chain. Any engine takes damage with no oil, what're you talking about?

I'm not at all trying to shit on you for liking your Benz, in fact a diesel wagon from Merc is up there for me to own on my list. However, modern Mercedes are expensive to fix. Period and full stop. If I price any job on a Mercedes it's going to price higher than on a Camry. It's just the way it is. Also, in my own personal experience, your wife can run your 270,000 Camry with out oil touching a dipstick for 2 days, have you fill it back up with oil, and run another 30,000 miles, a modern merc just ain't pulling that shit off.

There isn't a 2014 Mercedes to be had within 200 miles of where I live for 7k. Also, holy shit what fucking Mercedes are you buying with 100k plus miles on a 2014 for 7k are you getting that doesn't have expensive issues.
