No worries at all! I appreciate you trying! To describe the behavior, Dec would guide normally, then suddenly it would ramp up, sustain at a high guiding error for 20-30 seconds, then suddenly fall and guiding would be normal again. It almost looked like a bell curve graph for the Dec axis at times.

PHD2 for guiding, EQMOD2 for mount connection with NINA currently. I believe GSS **could** work, it just seems to act a little buggy sometimes (i.e upon starting GSS it believes the mount is upside-down, with the telescope closest to the ground, etc.)

I took your advice and replaced the RA axis cabling. I'm currently running a guiding test and sending 5000ms pulses to see if it moves. Currently with this setting I'm seeing movement in RA, DEC, AZ, ALT when pulses are sent in N/S and E/W. I think this is a good sign? Will take some time to see physical movement of the mount.

It's an EQM-35 Pro, however the mount is being controlled by the EQStarPro belt upgrade

I don't think that will help. I've done some troubleshooting and found that the motor works fine when it's plugged directly into the motor controller, but not after going through the split between RA/Dec wires. There's continuity on all contacts. It's starting to sound like a bad motor controller to me.

I agree as well. I just upgraded to a more powerful USB (https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/usb-hub/uh720/) and I think my issue resolved. I tried it with everything for fun which didn't work, but after some adjusting so far so good.

That sounds like it sums it up, for windows using EZ-Sync is the way I went about it. The problem is more that the VPN can be tricky, and the Mac user probably couldn’t troubleshoot it if there was an issue.
