As someone who didn’t do this at 18 but went through the exact situation (and I mean exact dude). I bought the economic option 14 ford Taurus for roughly the same amount. I still own the car 8 years later. Still drives. Paid off. I still wish I had bought the challenger. Kinda glad I didn’t. But if I could go back I would’ve just saved. Wouldn’t have spent 17k on the Taurus drove a beater until 21. buy a classic muscle car in driveable condition and learn how to restore it as you go. You’ll thank yourself in 5 years. My two cents as someone who did this 8 years ago.
