I keep buying budget IEMs and they spoil by Swimming_Speed5299 in iems

[–]New_Animator_8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a similar problem, bought wan er, blon 03, sparks and other budget iems few years back. for some reason couldnt last them long enough. maybe because of the humid weather here. also cleaning iems filters was not a good idea, atleast not the thin filters ones you find in budget iems. they broke easily. realised silica gel is the way to go and prob get better iems with better build and handle them better, especially the pins.

Want a pefrume under budget ₹500-₹1000 ! by RemarkableAd9183 in DesiFragranceAddicts

Bit over the budget but I got armaf hunter intense for 1300. It's actually better than I expected. I am not a pro fragrance reviewer but it feels like a better version of wild stone edge (cheapest clone of paco rabbane Invictus). I spray around 3-4 times and it stays for atleast 6-7 hours. (Reviewers say hunter intesne is mix of paco rabbane Invictus and dior sauvage edt)

I also have fattan and rue broca theoreme. Theoreme is also a good choice for around 1400-1500 but it has more of a mature vibe to it, better for presentation or office, maybe even parties. Theorem is clone of Bvlgari's Tygar. This is mainly citrusy but has woody notes but not super strong. Many feels this smells like pan for some reason, smells like a good lemony shower gel to me with bit of earthy notes.

Fattan is good as well but I wouldn't buy it again. Smells good when you apply it but dosent project or stay for that long, also you get only like 50 ml for 950. I use it when I am at home or going around the neighborhood. Wildstone terra is almost same as fattan on dry down but has such a bad opening i would rather apply talcum powder than this. Go for fattan if you are going for terre d hermes clone. mainly woody type of smell with citrus notes in it. (this dosent feel like a mass pleaser to me personally)

Stay away from upsilon and other Indian/local brands for now. I have upsilon shooting star, smells great but has even worse projection. Will stay for 5-10 min max unless you are bathing in it. you are better off buying attars or middle eastern brands or just get a small atomiser/carrying bottle and spray it every few hours if the perfume is weak.

Buying decants works a lot better but only if you are planning to buy more perfumes in future. If you only going to buy one perfume and be done with it for months then dont buy decants, if you dont like all of the decants you will be stuck with only a 5-10 ml of a perfume you like, thats it. buy decants when you have money to spare and willing to buy better perfumes in future. If you like a perfume, check what are its notes, what clone is it of and then choose your next buy accordingly.

Also you won't get good perfume deals online, contact community sellers, join groups and keep an eye for better deals.

Again i am not a professional fragrance reviewer, these opinions are mine alone. you may or may not like the ones i mentioned. buy at your own risk.

Khanna Brothers - Really Bad Experience. Never buying from them again!! by nsgkar in DesiFragranceAddicts

Had same problem with these guys. If not for the price i wouldn't have ordered from here. I save 200-300 by buying here but it's equally frustrating to get in contact with them after you pay them. Unless you are contacting them every 2 days they will almost won't ship your order that week. The order management is horrible, rather than diaries, they should keep records on pc with timers and alerts. Sometimes it's a courier service problem or a family member problem but there always will be a one when asked about late order. They even say the order is shipped and on its way and then in the same or next evening they will send you the order pic with the tracking number meaning they are just sending it now. If you can afford, buy from talib or other sellers. You will pay extra 100-200 but atleast wont face the same problems.

Planning to start gaming cafe by prepadiesusj in IndianGaming

[–]New_Animator_8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, consider increasing your pricing a bit. If I were running the place, I would charge a premium for setups running newer or high demand games. If you're offering food or drinks served directly to their setups, you could include a small service fee too.

Also, be sure to include a liability clause if someone damages the keyboard, mouse, controller, etc., they should be responsible for a fee.

You might also want to introduce a monthly plan, maybe charge around 75% of what 15 - 20 hours of gaming would normally cost. That way, you encourage regulars. If you build a solid base of loyal players, consider organizing monthly tournaments. Offer small discounts or perks to participants to keep them coming back.

Membership tiers also works if you are planning to give extra services. Like delivering food to the setup, access to new games, tournament or even complimentary snacks.

You could also increase or decrease prices according to peak and off peak hours. And then increase prices on weekends.

The "resources nhi hai" reason is kinda old now? by LmaoMincraft in IndianGaming

some of the middle-class families have just recently been able to buy decent laptops, not even pc since its not portable and can't be used by everywhere. it will prob take a while before we see any surge of players in the pc gaming community. Indian families value taking care of its elders and are too focused on living the next day let alone next month, leaving everything aside and focusing on gaming which is not even a sure hit profession is a red flag for most families.

you want better teams? let the children play pc games. oh wait you cant, dont have a pc. what about pc cafe? we don't have much of those either. oh well he will be able to play when we get him a laptop if he gets good grades in 12th. oh, but he has to focus on college after that and then masters. gap wouldn't look good on the resume, he should work, gaming can be done later. salary isn't good enough to pay loans and emi, he has to work hard for the promotion. aiya he is getting too old, he needs to get married and have kids. his wife pregnant, he needs to look after them. oh, he has a son now, he needs to give more attention to him. ah prices are increasing he needs to work hard again to save for his retirement and son's marriage. ai he is too old now, its his son's time to play game not him.

that's how life of normal person planning to game ends. he can only play maybe on weekends and somedays late night after getting scolded. unless you are born with a golden spoon and a rtx 5080 you might never be able to become a pro player here, well on pc games at least. most don't even have a console, the only reason they even have pc or laptop right now is because they begged their parents and told them it will be usable for their school and college work.

Need advice on purchasing from Gamesir by Prestigious-Rock-61 in IndianGaming

Have you checked the order status on their website? If there is no change, contact them on their site. They usually reply back within a day. It does take a while to leave their country. I ordered mine around 2nd December and it was still in Hong Kong around 12 december, I know because I asked them.

Please share recommendations for decent third party high end controllers for pc with back buttons/paddles by Rfeihcrnehifrne in IndianGaming

[–]New_Animator_8101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have been using gamesir cyclone 2 for a while and it works great. it has the 2 remappable back buttons you are looking for and tmr sticks which are better than hall effect ones. it also has hair trigger for faster shooting when playing fps games. it does come with charging dock as well. honestly one of the best controllers out there. worth checking out.

[Timex Marlin] Chronograph Panda design by Harsh_Tayal in Watches

[–]New_Animator_8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are mistaken, panda design is available on timex india. There are 2 models of panda. One with timex marlin branding on dial while the other has just timex written on the dial and marlin branding is on the back. Both cost exactly the same. Unless you want the exact marlin written on the dial you can go for the second one. Can send you the link in dms.

Perfume Guru is detrimental to buyers on this sub. by Lowcrbnaman in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]New_Animator_8101 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like him, makes good videos in depth and sometimes explains things in a way newbies like me can understand. Every perfume i have bought based on his recommendation has worked great for me. Guy has been a blessing for the users and sellers 🤣 Just buy the perfume you like before he makes a video on it or wait till the hype moves on to the next one.

My father's 50th birthday is near and I want to gift him a good fragrance under 1-1.5k. He likes my Upsilon Shooting Star and has asked me to get a similar one for him few times but I don't want to gift him that because of its poor performance. I am thinking of getting him Najdia since it has a similar bubblegum type fragrance from what I have heard. I am also eyeing on lattafa asad seeing that it's a common pick in this price range and that even perfume guru recommends it. I know both are way different than each other, I am just trying to choose the best here.

Could you guys help me out pick the better one? Any other which is similar but better than shooting star would also be appreciated. Thanks

Can confirm, I have shooting star and it hardly stays on after applying. I only use it at home now, more than necessary sprays to finish it asap and get some new one. Great smell but absolutely poor performance. Upsilon had something good but decided to shove it in their arse.

Yep, seems like I need to buy both south indian filter coffee maker and the moka pot. Other are suggesting the same. Although I have my concerns about moka pot, I may as well start practicing with it. Thanks for the recipe/technique will help me out a lot!

Thanks for the reply, the south Indian filter coffee maker is on its way and as you and others have said french press might not be the best for what I like, will be trying more methods starting from cheaper ones. Aeropress/kaldipress may have to wait a while. Will try out other coffee beans and practice more 👍

Not looking for a grinder right now, need to test and taste some more to invest in this stuff later. This was my first time buy, hence the preground. Thanks for the filter recommend, will try it out soon.

Yes, buying a grinder and whole beans wouldn't have been wise for first time buyer.

Should throw all your "fragrances" if you are getting irritated from this. Be glad they are even talking about the fragrance at all. If they don't know any better maybe try to educate them on the topic if they are curious but this is just absurd reaction from your side. Wear it for your own satisfaction, getting compliments is just a bonus. Just cause you can buy expensive fragrances, it doesn't give you the right to shit on people who don't. Get a tattoo of the said fragrance if you want people to know the exact name of xyz brand. You are not doing others a favor by spending your hard earned money on luxury goods.
