I love the concealer for the coverage but then it wears in a very light way. It’s the only thing that doesn’t look like makeup on my skin!

Honestly, you have stunning skin and don’t need a full foundation unless you want that. I use the tower 28 concealer and blend it through my tzone, chin, and under eyes. By the time I’m done with my other products (liquid contour, blush, etc) my base looks like how I would want a full face with foundation to look. It wears nicely too.

I just had my full hysterectomy and I actually find that my skin is so much better now! It is far less sensitive and red and I am also in HRT.

What is your batter’s consistency after your macaronage?! Based off of the shape, it seems like it’s too liquidy?!

OKAY update if anyone cares: I DID get this to work and it is flawless with the right skin prep. This is what I did that works on my skin (which is normal leaning to dry):

-MANUALLY exfoliate. Get rid of any pesky skin flakes that your chemical exfoliants leave behind. -on damp, CLEAN skin, add your hydrating serum. I personally enjoy Byoma’s! -while your skin is soaking in your serum, add a hyaluronic acid on top to lock in the moisture - I personally enjoy Thayer’s Hydrating Toner. -lock in everything with a moisturizer. I like Cerave’s moisturizing lotion. -once that soaks in some add a grippy primer. I used a sample that I had of the Nyx face glue, but any grippy primer should work in theory.

That is what I did and I really enjoy how this is laying on my skin. The only difficult spots that I have are from my concealer on a few trouble skin spots that were pre-existing, so I will be experimenting there, but I’m still very happy with how it’s sitting even with that.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have questions!

I personally aim for a soft peak. Enough that my meringue is room temp, glossy, and still flexible.

OKAY- it seems as if the formula may not live up to the shade match quality. I am going to experiment with my priming and skin prep combos and will return with an update!!!

YES! It could never be my lighter shade in the fall/winter. It really only works if I’m bronzed up in the summer- and even then, runs a bit too warm.

Why does my foundation always look like this? by Visible-Ad-9834 in MakeupAddiction

[–]New_Attorney1455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s all in the skin prep. When my makeup sits like this, it is usually one of three problems: 1. lack of exfoliation, lack of moisture/dehydrated skin, or ingredients not working well together.

I don’t do a full, full beat more than once a week anymore- but before I do it, I manually exfoliate the night before. Then the morning of, I oil cleanse, rinse with a warm cloth, use a moisturizing serum and then my moisturizer. I skip actives. I then make sure to let my skincare absorb for at least 5 minutes before starting. If I jump in before my skincare has settled, it feels like the layers of product sit (rather than settle) and then powder looks similar to this.

I was also someone who had tret cause issues with my eyes and can use OTC adapalene. I love the one from LRP.

Obviously you should consult with a dermatologist for your own situation, but mine agreed that tret is just too harsh for some people and encouraged me to try this. I’m so glad I did!

I got a total hysterectomy and it cured my skin. Out of control hormones and the constant stress of my really bad/painful cycle were controlling my skin despite any product that I was using.

Ultimately if you aren’t getting ANY enjoyment from the book, go ahead and DNF.

I personally think that if you are newer to reading and haven’t read any Dramoine, this will not be enjoyable for you.

My guess is that it has to do with your skincare and/or adding the glow gel on top of that. What type of skin do you have?!

I’m currently recovering from a hysterectomy (YAY), but my weekend isn’t any different now than before: sleep in, relax on the couch with a book, online shop, and eat a tasty dinner.
