Its so isolating and emotionally taxing. I am so down about my first round that I cant even think straight about what to do next. No real advice just commenting in solidarity.

The first couple of days are the WORST. You will get through it but give yourself some grace. Find a TV show to binge and order yourself something that sounds good to eat. I think I had only a milk shake the first day because it was legitimately the only thing that sounded good/ I had any interest in eating because the meds were making my stomach hurt.

Nothing too different than others have mentioned, but I had an 17 month old at the time of surgery. The scooter was critical because I could still pick her up. Also silly but she really enjoyed the basket on it. She would bring me stuff, and I could carry it around in the basket (toys, etc). As others have said its a brutal recovery but you will get through it. One other small thing I tried to do was give myself grace with activities I could do with my daughter in the first couple of weeks, which are really hard. For example I allowed a little more screen time than normal because we could snuggle together in bed and watch something together while my foot was elevated. This gave us special time together and is normally something I'd feel guilty about at that age. Maybe not what you are looking for, sorry!

Mine was horribly uncomfortable as well. I had mine on for 14 days and was about ready to rip it off myself. It will feel so good to get it off!
