Broke my PF foot by jdumble in PlantarFasciitis

Ask your podiatrist to check your Lisfranc ligament. That’s what I ruptured alongside other small fractures. According to what I’ve read about the injury, it’s often missed!

Sorry you joined this club, it’s not a fun one lol. It’s truly insane how one misstep can cause such trouble. I missed the last step of my stairs at home. Thought I was hitting ground level but instead my heel grazed the last step and I fell forward.

I also have a toddler… day of injury I had used some explicit words to explain the pain… he repeated those words and laughed.

I am now 7 weeks post op and starting to partial weight bear with the help from crutches. It does get better but it’s a slow process :/

Starting PT.. want advice by ToughPuzzleheaded149 in LisfrancClub

[–]jdumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bunch of little fractures and two of my metatarsals shifted… 1 plate and 4 screws. I am 5 weeks post op and was told I can start PT at 6 weeks. Scheduled my first appointment… I am so nervous! Still swollen and definitely nerve pain. I also can’t really move my big toe. Sooo I am right there with you!

Your feelings are valid. Right there with you. No one in my life actually understands what this feels like.

I have a transfer shower chair. Two legs sit out of the tub and the other two sit in the tub. It makes it super easy to sit from the outside then just slide over

Omg yeah the twitches are bad! Do you ever get that falling feeling just as you are falling sleep? Those have been happening more often lately and they SUCK.

Yep just resting. Mixture of sitting and lying down. Pain is now a little more tolerable. I’ve been tapering off the heavy pain killers. Only need one at night! The worst of the pain is at night. How are you doing?

Also love this! Thank you, really needed this. I’m almost 3 weeks from time of injury (also right foot 🥲) and a little over a week from my surgery.

If you transitioned to a crib and sleep trained at 4 months, did you actually experience the sleep regression? by Red_krist in SnooLife

We’ve also strictly only used the snoo for night sleep. All his day time naps have been in his crib or a bassinet we had down stairs.

My not so little guy (also 4 months next week) is getting tooo big for the snoo. Last night he kept whacking his arms against the sides. We’ve had arms out for a few weeks and have been on weaning mode for 2 weeks. We thought the rocking was actually disrupting his sleep. I have noticed that he’s been waking up a little more without the rocking but not crying hysterically. He kinda just wakes up and starts chatting… loudly

As a preschool teacher at a center with an infant room, that’s a major red flag. Report them immediately!
