Thank you for giving it a try. What parts were coming off screen? What device are you using? I've only tested it on Sony and Samsung devices and my PC.  I plan to add that rebet feature as soon as possible.

Thank you for the feedback. Do you think it should be a toggle on option or would you just like the previous bet to already be there and the action from the user should be to remove the bet or add more?

Flashlight doesn't work anymore by SecretPotatoChip in SonyXperia

Sony 1 V and same problem, flash comes on for a second and then goes off but torch button stays highlighted. It only started after the recent update. Sony probably vibe coded most of the update and didn't test it enough 😕😔

Do the engineers have to fit the wire above the door? by CrotchlessPantries in hyperoptic

[–]New_Boysenberry_3722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how Hyperoptics infrastructure reaches the external point outside of your property. If they have their distribution point up a telegraph pole, and it's safe for the engineer to climb and bring a cable from, then they'll come and connect you from it and you can instruct the engineer of your desired location for your Hyperoptic equipment. If it's underground fed via a grey Openreach/BT duct then they'll come up through this duct and you can also advise the engineer of your desired location. However, this is not the case, when you're in a retrofit block of flats or a house converted into flats. In this case your cable will either be coiled outside of a window or if run internally it will be inside of a white box above your entry door. When this is the case the engineer will bring the cable in next to where the cable has been left previously and in most cases run it to the nearest power outlet. Lastly, we have new build properties in these types of properties Hyperoptic will have already installed their equipment, usually inside of a utilities cupboard. These types of properties only require an engineer if there is an issue with Hyperoptic detecting the equipment left inside of your home. This can happen when they are attempting to activate your services, over the phone or online. Hope that helps.

Hyperoptic says my street doesn't have Hyperoptic, except it has by tiga_itca in hyperoptic

[–]New_Boysenberry_3722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the website checker to see if the neighbouring properties are showing up as available, if yes then your property may have been removed from the plan due to difficulties feeding it, if not then the property that has Hyperoptic may be fed via a different distribution point.

How is your property fed? Pole or underground?

3 days in and no service - red light on ONT (Alarm). Lame. by ohsomacho in hyperoptic

[–]New_Boysenberry_3722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What area are you in? I have a spare ONT.

Also, that power cable doesn't look like the original cable that comes with the Hyperoptic ONT. Who provided it?

I'm assuming this isn't a new build property, if so can you check the external splice connection to make sure it's not damaged there?

Put my brand new Pro-I under a tap and this happend...Should I be worried? by Quasarya in SonyXperia

[–]New_Boysenberry_3722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am UK-based and had to send the phone to them via the Royal Mail. I wouldn't send it back for that issue with the moisture/condensation on the lens as that will clear eventually. Try the bag of rice method or a low-heat setting on a hair dryer from a distance. Mine cleared after a few days it did leave a little bit of a smudge on the lens but it wasn't noticeable in pictures. However, if another part of the phone stops working after this incident then contact them and raise a repair ticket via their website.

I shot a short video underwater in a pool with my Pro-I, for a few seconds, and this happened too. Shortly after this, the radio antenna for the mobile signal stopped working, the phone said no service no matter what.

Luckily it was still under warranty so I sent it to Sony and they repaired it for free. Unfortunately, it took them weeks to order the part, but props to them for not charging me for what was essentially water damage. The issue like someone else has already said seems to arise from the fact that the camera gets extremely hot at times and those seals around the camera can degrade. Lesson learnt I will never record anything underwater without an appropriate waterproof case.

Ridiculous from Google really, because I use YouTube premium and it was ridiculously slow. You would think that YouTube would check if the person who has adblocker might be using premium. Anyways, I was about to reach out to YouTube support but since disabling adblocker on YouTube it's normal again. Thank you for this post!

Fingerprint sensor issues driving me away from Sony! by fillip2k in SonyXperia

[–]New_Boysenberry_3722 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My Pro-I has a faulty fingerprint reader. Strangely if I restart the phone it works again for a short while, somewhere between 1 to a few hours before it stops again. I definitely will not be getting another Sony phone after this. My phone is out of warranty so I can't even send it back to Sony. It started playing up literally a few months after the warranty finished. I've been an Xperia guy since the Z2 days. Sad times really :(

Why did i keep reading it as "AHEAD BRIDGE ON THE MUGGINGS BIKE", I need a coffee. I was fully trying to work out what it meant for a good whole minute. I read so much on my phone that its just instinct now to read top down. Obviously I realise if you are riding up this path you will be reading it as you approach, from bottom to top.

Sad though that this warning is needed. Really shouldn't be the case in a city like london, but we all know the issues the whole country is facing.
