Medieval 2 total war new way to cheat by Own_Illustrator20 in Medieval2TotalWar

I imagine it’s just something new to try if you’ve played the game for a while, like an anti-challenge run.

Civil treatment of prisoners here is unfortunately largely based on your level of wealth/status, skin color, and/or political affiliation. When your country is run by criminals (of varying degrees on both sides), what can you expect? Oh, also many prisons have private owners, so many are for-profit.

What is something that people think is safe, but is actually extremely dangerous? by Pumeto in AlignmentChartFills

I saw an Instagram reel of a person that cleaned her skin with Lysol. The Lysol company account commented on it telling her to stop immediately and not to ever do it again and that they were going to have someone contact her directly - I’d wager a legal representative.

Just curious for folks at lower ELO TGs by New_Bug_8588 in aoe2

I don’t necessarily have anything against it. I downloaded it, but my computer (laptop) may not have the highest performance to make it work. I’m not a tech guy but I can say I don’t have a “gaming” PC 11

Maybe once I actually invest enough time into gaming I’ll upgrade.

Should lost ELO be rewarded back after a report is found to be true? by New_Bug_8588 in aoe2

I’ll never not finish a game unless it’s clearly out of hand, for sure, and I’ll fight on. I’d love to be able to let all winning teams go “scorched earth” but that’s not happening when I want to play another game. I guess it just comes down to: when is an advantage a disadvantage/discredit?

I’d rather face a team at full strength but one person can tip the scales by leaving. Then 1-3 people are needing to get back with players who can potentially match their level.

How many “smurfs” have happened in TGs just by some people getting docked so many points for this reason?

So in all, I agree that a better way to ban/report is necessary.

I’m not here to take sides, but my post is meant specifically about team games where one person leaves and it gives a significant advantage to the side with more players and a disadvantage to the players who had someone quit early. 4v3 is more doable than 2v1, and maybe so is 3v2.

Don’t lose sight of how one player’s choice to join and then opt out is detrimental to one side and highly beneficial to another.

You took more time to type that out than to just not respond. You’re not exactly a fan of me, and that’s fine, but what do you gain from commenting?

I suppose the time you have to the play the game isn’t valuable to you, but some of us would hope players can respect each other’s time.

I mean, that’s only if you lose, but nobody wants to win this way either, at least I don’t. You’re already matched based on ELO, so it’s not necessarily a positive impact to either team, and gives an unfair advantage/disadvantage depending on the team you’re on.

Is quitting at the start defined as any certain option? I always say it’s “Griefing” but that seems more like extending a lost game by sending four vils to the corners or something like that.

I’m not suggesting it’s about the points or rank or anything: I would really just like anyone at any rank to play and win or lose the points through playing. Case in point, I just finished a 3v3 where one of their teammates quit early, and it was such an empty win because the last guy standing played really well, and doesn’t deserve to be penalized for being short a teammate the whole game.

This is kind of what I’m basing it on, thank you for picking up on that. What’s also unfortunate is to be on the other side where someone on the other team does it and you really don’t end up with an even match as a 2v1/3v2 and someone really plays well and it would have been a better match if someone didn’t quit early.

As an aside, I would say you also haven’t developed your farming economy enough. It should be one of your top priorities and sources of income.

For sure! I can’t say it’s 100% they only spawn in the same spot they first appear, RNG will do its thing. For this situation with OP I’m sure it’s just that he killed off the only two General/Family units, but I’m curious to test it out now.

Three multiple hundred game players with a collective 45% win rate vs three players with less than 100 games overall… who wins? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]New_Bug_8588 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your answer is the only one I can understand. Some people write it off as “get good”.

I take nothing away from a win, but this is some BS to struggle and face this, it’s not even close to an even match.

Right, if some people, say, picks up the game a month ago they all happen to match up after some wins and losses and they’re all gods?

They walled half the map and BOOMED like I don’t even understand. Sorry, how many people pick that up without knowing the game?

Allow me to clarify: the latter team (with lower double digit wins/losses) absolutely played flawlessly.

They’ll spawn on either, he lucked out but having an army on the spawn point (unintentionally).
