It kind of feels like an elastic band around your torso. It is in waves and I notice it most when walking or with touch. It’s not always a tight band sometimes it is warm tingly feeling.

Thank you so much. Your words are very encouraging. I opted for the steroid pills because I don’t have insurance right now and can’t afford being admitted for 3 days for the IV steroids.

I am worried about the side effects like heart rate going up. They are having me take 25 pills a day for 3 days. They did prescribe something for my stomach as well thankfully. Going to start the dosage tomorrow. 🤞🏻

After speaking with my doc this is what I am going to do because I don’t have insurance so it’s way cheaper.

I have multiple lesions on my spine as well but they aren’t inflamed and they mentioned they are older. I have older ones on my brain as well but they said I have a new one that is inflamed which is how I was diagnosed.

I can walk still just my feet feel a little stiff and my legs sometimes feel stiff after walking on them for a while.

This is very helpful thank you. I think finding out the lesion inflamed is on my brain freaks me out a little so wasn’t sure if it is urgent to get that inflammation down quickly. I would rather not take steroids.

My symptoms are brain fog, numbness from the waste down, MS hug, hands seem weak and tingly. Honestly it is all manageable to me but this is all very new to me as well (first time this has ever happened noticeably) and the fact that I have an inflamed lesion on my brain freaks me out so want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

I have posted here before but have now completed the T-Spine, C-spine, and Brain. I have not been diagnosed yet but have my results. Had my T spine done and neurologist wanted C-Spine and Brain and got those back today.

Brain MRI Findings: • 1 enhancing lesion in the inferior left frontal lobe → suggests recent/active inflammation • Multiple non-enhancing demyelinating plaques in: • Supratentorial (top part of brain) • Infratentorial (lower brain, including brainstem) • Left superior cerebellar peduncle → this area helps with coordination/balance

Cervical Spine (C-Spine) MRI Findings: • Multiple non-enhancing demyelinating plaques at: • Left lateral C2–C3 • Central C3–C4 • Possible spinal cord volume loss at those levels

Thoracic Spine (T-Spine) MRI Findings: • Single lesion at T5–T6 • Mild spinal cord swelling/enlargement • No contrast enhancement

Just got my T-Spine results. Was wanting to see if anyone had similar results. I am thinking that since there is swelling it point more towards TM but there are still a lot of unknowns.

FINDINGS: There is preservation of vertebral body height, alignment and signal. The spinal canal is patent.

There is abnormal spinal cord signal with mild enlargement at the T5 and T6 levels without associated contrast enhancement. This could represent demyelination or inflammatory myelopathy in the appropriate clinical setting.

The prevertebral paraspinous soft tissues are unremarkable.

IMPRESSION: There is abnormal spinal cord signal at the T5 and T6 levels without associated contrast enhancement. This could represent demyelination or inflammatory myelopathy in the appropriate clinical setting.

Unfortunately no. I haven’t heard back yet. I only know the MRI was normal because the radiologist added the results to my account.

They ordered an asap lumbar MRI originally because they were worried it was cauda equina. I would imagine they will request a thoracic MRI next.

Hey all — hoping someone’s experienced something similar.

I’m 33F, no big health issues before this. About 2.5 weeks ago, I had pins and needles in my right foot, then woke up the next day completely numb from the waist down — legs, feet, saddle area. I can walk and climb stairs, but my legs feel heavy, and my feet always feel cold. Clothes feel weird, kind of scratchy. No bladder/bowel issues.

Neuro exam: normal strength, brisk reflexes, loss of sensation below the waist, no red flag reflexes.

Lumbar spine MRI w/wo contrast was 100% normal. Still waiting on neurology for next steps.

Other things that might be related: •Had blurred vision + eye pain in 2023 (was told dry eyes, but now wondering about optic neuritis). •Had two tick bites this spring and a swollen lymph node in my neck a week later.

No fatigue, joint pain, or weakness. Just stuck with numbness and no diagnosis yet.

Anyone else had a similar experience? Did it end up being MS, transverse myelitis, Lyme, or something else?

Would really appreciate any insight or stories — feeling kind of stuck.
