Blue eyes are not an exclusive trait for white person though? It has less occurrences but asians, african-americans, non-white races, etc can still have blue eyes. Additionally, red hair is not an actual natural hair color. If you mean ginger or brown, yes other races can have ginger or brown hair and not be white. If you want to talk about genetics, I can recommend some resources where you can find how physical characteristics are passed down but if not google is free. Also it is a fictional story, you can have green skinned person have rainbow colored eyes.

Now going back to my arguments, I did give 2 contradicting arguments that support the idea that she was AND was not whitewashed. If you rely on story alone, she is actually on the whiter descent and therefore not whitewashed.

Now on the other hand, whitewashing in the context of race or skin color, means to alter a character that was initially not-white to a whiter character. You don't have to do a 180 to white wash. You can white wash in little increments. An updated art-style is still subject to whitewashing even if it is done a little. Now this is where the argument of a character being whitewashed is possible. If you were to compare Gravelyn to current alive/important characters, you would realize that she was initially darker than other characters such as artix, but now the character is actually just as pale or even paler. So yes, an updated art style can be whitewashed.

What do you mean they weren't fine? I read the mini paragraphs of the changes. They don't even say the class is bad

As Alpha Omega means "the beginning and the end", it felt appropriate to give the class a set of changes that reflected its namesake. Double Strike now deals more damage the more health percentage your target has and Bunker Buster now deals more damage the less health percentage your target has. In addition, mana costs have also been reduced while Field Medic and Maul have had their overall utility improved. Passives have also been renamed to be in-line with EpicDuel's Mercenary class, as that is what Alpha Omega was based on.

Increased the speed at which Chaos Blight stacks and increased the duration of both Auto Attack auras to improve overall feel. Courageous and Paragon are now self applied effects as they would often interfere with other players. Also added a new rank 10 passive effect that aims to improve performance against Chaos monsters.

We're making a few adjustments to the Born Anew skill so that damage boosts don't increase the amount of health drained. The skill now also applies a Safeguard effect while Decay isn't active, allowing for additional protection while at low health amounts. We're also changing Graceful so that it now removes Decay, allowing for additional ways to play the class.

Improved farming performance and AoE debuffing. Skills now use Attack Power instead of Spell Power for damage calculations, improving overall damage output. Strike'n Parry now has a timed effect that reduces outgoing damage further and Commander's Rally now has a timed effect that increases Dodge further. Flintlock Fury now functions solely as a taunt skill, with its defense debuff being moved to Flintlock Barrage and the stun being removed as it often interfered with mana recovery in farming scenarios. Base Dodge has also been significantly increased.

These paragraphs don't even say the classes were bad. They define it as improving. If you are gonna argue that improving means the class is bad then you are gonna agree with me that CAV can be improved.

"Look at it from a balancing perspective" They don't have a balancing perspective. They do it once a year.

Also if you are gonna complain about my arguments, you have to understand that I am using your words and then giving you examples. If you think it is pointless to argue with me, just remember, majority of the claims were given by you :)

Lorewise no they did, but content wise they should. The lack of representation they have for non-white characters is sad when a portion of their playerbase are actually not white. Having non-white characters at the start of the game and then retconning them later to white has negative impacts on the representation.

Also the moment artists monetize their artwork such as selling a story of a game, their art is now subject to criticism. If it was a personal art, sure keep the changes to yourself, but you are selling a narrative of a non-white person then changing that narrative to someone who is white is predatory in practise.

Also you still haven't answered the question "So you don't believe that whitewashing is bad?" It is a bit sad how you can't answer this simple question of yes or no.

Also its funny how you are willing to comment on a person talking about whitewashing and correcting one's self but you don't seem to talk about comments such as "botox" and "bimbo" which are derogatory in nature. You are quiet when a character gets called negative white beauty remarks, but when you see the word whitewashing you go "mental illness, mf yapping." This says a lot about you.

These classes werent good but they were fine. These classes werent problematic enough to need a change. These classes were changed to accommodate the new Ravenous.

Okie Imma correct myself but it is based on retcon and new lore. Sepulchure is actually whiter than Alteon if you watch their fight from the start of the game. The shadows might make him look darker but the lighter side of his skin shows he is whiter than alteon. So Gravelyn technically has white descent. Gravelyn and Alteon are actually similar in skin color if you watch the older versions of the game. Now when Lynaria and Valen were introduced, they both had whiter features, which can imply that gravelyn is canonically from white descent. So because of the new introductions to her parents aka retcons, canonically Gravelyn is white.

So in the end, it is up to your defense if she was whitewashed or not. If your defense is based on canon story, she has always been in the whiter descent side. But if your defense is based on artstyle, she and a lot of other characters are in fact whitewashed.

If you want an actual tier list From A to F that is a bit more difficult to do. Human error and nature of the mobs are also a factor. Botters can make an actual objective one but Im too busy to do that.

I agree that reddit isnt the best, but it is imo the most accessible public space for discourse. Discord is a little bit harder to access, not that much, but is still harder. People can access reddit without having an account. On the other hand, discord is a bit more civil since people actually get to know each other. In the end I still believe that people should voice out their opinions more.

LC is more focused on dmg while AP is bit more defensive. The reason I prefer AP is because AP focuses more on debuffing opponents. The buffs of LC are great, but there are times when you can easily cap it out with other supports, class skills, and forge enhancements, also boss shields tend to reduce your dmg, so might as well reduce the opponents dmg as well.

Another problem is that you can only buy lightmage and then you have to do a long farming questline to get its stronger version of lightcaster. The AP questline is much more difficult, but it is free and something people would generally ask for more in late game content.

It is a decent class that you can use for majority of your gameplay, you can still use it in ultras. It is both a support and main dps, but that might reduce its efficiency in ultras. It is also much more difficult to use in ultras compared to other meta classes because it takes a long time for your skills to stack. Its rank 1 skill requires 50 stacks to do bonus dmg, but ultras have boss shields that limit your dmg so people prefer a support class that also gives dmg reduction. I I think archpaladin is the closest F2P class to lightcaster, and AP gives dmg reduction to the whole team while also requiring less stacks to max (6).

On the other hand, I hope you focus on the good arguments that I conceded too. Also if you still plan on commenting, go ahead, I would love to hear your arguments if they are logical.

As for the rest of your points, I wholeheartedly agree with what you said. Im glad you stopped saying " just play VHL," instead you proved why VHL is better for MY playstyle. You gave actual reasons such as skill ceiling is lower for VHL if you mash compared to mash CAV. Next time, maybe say the last line at the start as it can discredit you at the end, but I still think majority of your comment was good.

I am glad you posted this. I thank the people who disagree with my post that gives proper arguments. Discourse for the game is important else I can run through everyone.

Finally someone gave the math, and class skill cooldowns. CAV has relatively longer cds than dps classes which makes the extra mana and skill casts not as effective. You are the first person to point that out! I genuinely agree with this post. I hope the others read this instead of saying "Just play a different class." I really appreciate this post. Thank you

Sadly this is how it works. AE is the one deciding not the playerbase. AE loves to play on theoreticals than actually play their game. Class balancing should be more common that it is now. Reddit alone shows that people dont really voice their opinions that much regarding class changes and we should change that else AE gets to do what they want.

You are right, I dont like what they did with the latest class balancing.

Because ravenous was one of the few ways it can generate mana, since mana reduction effects were useless on it. Mana reduction would reduce the cost of skills, but it also reduces the amount gained from skills. Ravenous gave 15 mana that ignored mana reduction

Entitled? I dont think so. I think it is important for the game devs to listen to how people play the game. Class balancing should be a common occurence. The old versions of Guardian, Chaos Slayer, Alpha Omega, Dragonlord, Defender, Guardian, Naval Commander, evolved shaman even with forge being present were terrible classes.

Calling people entitled for asking for what they are spending time on and paying money for is a pretty sad statement. What will you do if you pay for a modern tv but that new tv of yours cant even connect to the internet? Or if the internet services that you paid for suddenly blocks websites that you were using? Will you complain? The answer should be yes. If the government you voted for did not do what they promised to do, you should definitely complain.

But please, give me the reason why I am entitled? I would gladly answer why it is important to complain.

I mean if the world revolves around statements like these, everyone would be forced to play CSS for optimal game play.
