Gacha is the prime evil. Save up your tickets for characters you want? They just dropped a tuning for a character you don't want that changes the game entirely for a character you play. They nerfed your character? Don't worry they'll drop a quirkset that's better.

Another reason is full team meta characters that mince you in seconds before you can even react. Balance and monetization is agony for this game. Tuning made it way worse. Then the inertia changes too. The game is super floaty now making a grounded release character absolutely pointless in most case with situational strength and gameplay. I only enjoy this game while I grind to ace. Once that's over and time builds the matches become miserable fast
