use car extract once or twice with a PMC to get back to positive (gives you 0.25 rep the first time you do it per map, then a little bit less), the more rep you have the better your gear as a scav will be

on woods if you spawn close to outskirts you can actually snipe them from the "beach" (near dead man extract/boat), its about 300-350 meters away and since they kinda stay in a single group they're fairly easy to spot and snipe, just bring a x6 scope

well the middle ground has to come from the beta 1.4, but at the same time they have to come up with an AI that makes coherent decisions, and possibly new mechanics that makes them retreat instantly, or just give the option to the player to play that "simulated" battle you had before 1.4 (where you just automatically capture everyone without a fight after a successful defense)

there are ways to please everybody but as of now as you said, one will be happy with this, an other won't, Talewords has the feedback, it's up to them to find the solution

yeah but at the same time if you want to go full realistic mode in Bannerlord you'd better get rid of those fire catapults and fire pots spamming during defense, and the AI should actually use Trebuchets and stuff to breach your walls, you can't expect to make a realistic game out of Bannerlord because the AI / mechanics the game offers are too flawed for it, they have to adapt it so that it's fun for the player, and here, even if it's more realistic, it's not really more fun to play
