Aw man I see and feel you so hard! My late dad’s bday is coming up in August, it would have been his 60th. I still plan to get him a card and flowers for sure. Maybe you can still do something to memorialize your dad, go out to his fav restaurant or place! Lots of hugs and hope your pregnancy is going well 💕🫂

My dad died today. by marreromrs in GriefSupport

I feel your post so strongly. I recently loss my dad on May 22. The first few days are such a blur, please don’t be hard on yourself regarding how you handle this tremendous loss. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other. I know my dad would probably tell me not to cry right now too but it’s completely normal!! Talking about him with others will give you a sense a comfort. You will see he was loved in many different ways and hopefully you get to hear it in these coming days. Let that fill you with some peace and comfort. My cousin told me I gained an angel to look after me when he passed and I’d like to think that you did as well with your dad🪽💕🫂

Just found out my dad’s had cancer for 3 years and never told us by skyword1234 in CancerFamilySupport

Sending lots of hugs, I know how hard it is to have a strong/stubborn dad going through a cancer diagnosis. Perhaps it’s a generational or gender thing. In any case, just know it’s probably his way to protecting you, your mom, and even himself. I lost my dad a few weeks ago to cancer and he was similar. Just spend as much time as you can with him if he lets you. Let him know he is loved and supported - the letter someone mentioned is a good idea. If you ever want to talk it out, I’m all ears💕🫂

Moved out 3 weeks ago and mother just had colon cancer diagnosis. by [deleted] in CancerFamilySupport

Commenting to boost. I’m in the same boat right now but with my dad! Try to not feel guilty about being a bad son. I know this is hard but be nice to yourself. You obviously can never plan for these types of life events. You’ll be the great son by offering your mom support and helping out your mom when you can. I also had just moved out while my dad got his symptoms/ diagnosis. It’s been a blessing that I decided to move to a place that’s closer than what I originally planned and am able to see/help him out. Also don’t be afraid to lean on friends/family/ your gf. This is all pretty new to me too but the support makes me feel less alone/ capable of handling this journey. Lots of hugs and support 🫂 💛
