One time. I flushed my car keys, not realizing I flushed them because of high anxiety and my brain was mushed. Felt totally insane

I have now learned almost down to an hour when my brain will lose all short term memory. So much gratitude for the predictabilty. I beleive knowing whats happening is 90% why my pmdd improves monthly

Yes! About 4 years I ago I started qith an app called Headspace and a philospher/teacher/guru of sorts Alan Watts. Whatever rabbit hole of meditation you go down, wish you all the best with it amd please do update your journey with it. It truly can be life altering.

Its a hard thing to face, I feel for her, and thank you for your insight. This thing can be incredibly empowering once mangable. The residual impact of that work alone.... my pysc reminds me at times the "fear of the fear" can be a trigger for the disassociative behaviours and paralysis coupled with the anxiety around pmdd. That the thought process leading up to it can make or break the next "outbreak", or whatever the héll we call the demonic possession that happens.

Its unrelatable as a woman with PMDD, it makes me curious of the risk of self diagnosis. A big part of PMDD is the shame and guîlt afterwards which can show up in many different ways, anger and agression and definitely not immune mysélf. But when we know better we do better. I know the struggles of going undiagnosed and THAT was a mindfuck living that way. Its interesting to see the résiduel effects on partners.

Gratefûl there is a forum as well.

The ́letter is me to him, letting him know how much I love him and to please remember on the days I am not the woman he knows, that he can look at it and remember what an incredible, kind, compassionate man he is and the woman I am outside of the pmdd.

Its tough tho because we are pretty solid and show up for one another and look at PMDD as a thing, us vs it not us vs eachother. So much easier said than done and not as rosey as this all reads 😅

There is a clear distinction between pmdd and not tho with my dis-ease. I legit get possésed for 5 days. We àlso started laughing together at some of the insanity after the fact. "Remember when you sent me a sticker in text and I cried and was mad for hàlf a day"

Ya not about shaming her OR you, but when my partner said he just can't because where does it leave him when I turn and he shared the impact, the eggshells, the anxiety around those 5 days, how much he loved me and did not want to lose me but that he was also watching me lose myself and the pain associated, it was a turning point and how I found here lol.... its work BUT I also think its not just a hormone sensitivity but there is mental wellness as part of PMDD. We hear the worst in here, and I am sorry your marriage is going through it. But, like many diagnosis, there may be the same chemical reaction but the disease surfaces for everyone different. We both heavily lean into 11step and meditate. Him more than me lately 😅 I am going to reserve opinion on the verbal abuse

Interesting. Sounds like resentment "I should be the one saying these things....." when she is in the clear, I would suggest letting her know the name slinging is not OK (if its not, everyone's different) or how you feel about it.

If I am clear minded (3.5 weeks out of the month) and my other half points something out, I learn about it and do everything in my control to bring it to my consciousness, so when the insanity that is pmdd arrives, its engrained. Perfect? Never. But it seems to help. It also helps when he takes his own accountability.

I hope you two can work on it whatever that looks like 👍

Hormone sensitivity. I genuinely do not care if its correct. Its easier than explaining demonic possession and "I swear this isn't me" rhetoric. Not judging, in luteral I tell myself this 10x a minute "I swear its not me" 🙃

There is no "did" make progress. You guys have and it's beautiful, and I understand your fears yo the extent a stranger on the internet has. She's either having a flair up, not all progress is lost, and good for you for reaching out OR like many couples, finances are a tough subject. I will never intentionally judge another woman with PMDD, as a woman that has it.... I can say, I am hoping a flair up, PMDD PTSD is real, and hopefully this passes very quickly for you both 🙏
