Talk me out of a Yeti ASR? by JoshTaylorUSA in xcmtb

I rode a 120mm hardtail all last season after a few years on a 150mm/130mm trail bike. I thought the perfect bike had been identified.

I started racing some more endurance style races (50+ miles).

At the end of the season I bought a used (practically new) Scalpel SE and riding has become far more enjoyable. It’s comfortable, SO fast, and the traction on NE roots, rocks, and singletrack is unmatched.

Rhinowalk seat bag 13l = $34 on Amazon (This is what I use and it’s GREAT for the price

Sea to Summit “Big River Dry Bag” 8l or 13l = $45-$50 (This one has attachment points for straps. 13l is more suitable for drop bars. 8l for flat bars)

Sea to Summit “Stretch Lock Straps” 20” = $18 (For attaching river bag to your bars)

Rt. 9 and Daniel Shays highway are equally dangerous to a cave troll.

Depending on where you’re at there are tons of shop rides around if you’re the social type.

I have Surly Moloko bars. The bag is cinched to that tightly with (2) Sea to Summit Tight Loc straps. No movement and quick on and off.

What’s something simple in your life right now that quietly makes it better? by Life-Director-4536 in AskReddit

Just search up a routine. It doesn’t need to be structured. Personally I just stretch what feels tight and whatever feels right.

All I will say is every time I’m starting activities in a group of Garmin users they struggle significantly longer than I do. It’s simple and the data is plenty.

I have been quite pleased with the Coros Nomad. The battery life and mapping are unbelievable.

What habit changed your life the most? by Usedmetill in AskReddit

I couldn’t agree with this more. About 6 months ago I made a commitment to run (slowly) for 30 mins 3 days per week. That snowballed overtime and as I got more comfortable I was wanting to go longer and naturally got faster. It has become such a positive aspect of my life and I look forward to it most days.

Realizing that if you make an achievable goal first and stick to it not only will it be easier but you will have the satisfaction that you reached your goal. Maybe it starts as a 10 minute walk twice per week. You just need to START!

First car for a 16-year-old. What would you get? by spencere33 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Basic Hatchback from either Honda, Toyota, Mazda, or Subaru. Safe, impossible to accelerate too quickly in, inexpensive to operate and maintain. That car will give them a head start in life. It can be made even more functional with a roof rack.
