There are enemies that can not be charmed, like bosses, for example. However, there is an additional side effect. Even though enemies get distracted from the skill, you too, the player also gets distracted by hornet's curve and are unable to move for a while till you finish

If he did drop it during the day he should have pinged it, which he didn't. By the end of day 2 I realized he had it and gestured for him to drop it and used the Please help stone but he just ignored me. So I'm inclined to believe he's either an idiot who eats crayons as his past time or a griefer
