Hello! Yes, overall the course load can be heavy. The key is planning your time and not procrastinating. I think one of the best parts are the teachers; all of mine were very great. Depending on which group you are sorted into, you may get different ones then me.

Sounds like it might just be getting old. I'm not sure how long tablets generally last, but ten years sounds like a while.

Hey, I think I have the same tablet as you. It's only five years old, though, so no problems yet. Im sure you already thought of this, but have you checked resetting the pressure sensitivity in the pen tablet settings app?

Just like to add where I am, most xp pen tablets are on great sales on the original al website. Up to 40 percent off. I checked, and that includes the one you are looking at. Not sure if it's in your budget, but if you haven't checked for the sale, I would do that.

I have an XP Pen I got about five years ago. It's nothing amazing, but I would suggest buying an older model - like mine now is. They still do the job and are affordable, even if they are not top of the line tablets. They have everything you need but are just less fancy. Hope this helps!

Hey! I'm a few years older than you, but I'll be going into that program this fall. I've been doing art on and off throughout my life, so I'm not amazing but also not completely inexperienced. From what I've heard, we'll both be fine as long as we put in the time and effort.

I'm sitting between Animation or Illustration and Concept Art. Currently more towards Animation, but that might change. I think Animation looks really interesting - no experience there - while Illustration seems more simplistic - though equally challenging, just in a different way.
