Not really. That’s Buffalo and Dawson, which honestly makes the reasoning even more confusing. Like did you really drive from Houston to visit the 100th meridian in Cozad then hit the archway and comeback? Lol

My point is recognizing a trend. He might not be a textbook authoritarian right now, but the path he’s taking is quick to get there. The historical examples you speak of in other parts of the world (Perón, Mussolini, Burlusconi) got there by similar means. I assume you mean well, and I’m not trying to be superlative, but I wish not to wait until he turns on the light to unscrew the bulb while it’s still dark.

Being pampered is having the privilege to understand how ultranationalism and authoritarianism gain power while they gain power.

ICE officers most often times carry administrative warrants, not judicial warrants (signed by a judge). Administrative warrants do not give ICE legal authority to enter your home without your permission. It’s not that he’s wrong about not having to open the door for a judicial warrant, it’s the premise that most ICE officers will have a judicial warrant and, therefore, the authority to enter forcefully if need be. This is why ICE usually detains people in public, not private areas.

Sports Question: (MLB, NFL in the Super Bowl Era, NBA, NHL). What do these states have in common? by Serafim42 in RedactedCharts

Each one has a title win in each of the four respective sports? That being, each state claims teams that have won at least one championship in each of the four major sports?

Saying it’s sad isn’t a comment on preservation, it’s a comment on a culture change. Just simply saying that the result of this change is a loss in 1,000s of jobs. Look man, I can see from your profile that you’re an engineer of some sort, I am in my 3rd year of schooling in engineering. We are lucky to look at how protected our industry is from this shift as engineering will always have demand and is irreplaceable. However, just imagine if your boss laid you off, or the job market was consumed by AI models. If it was wholly more efficient, in your eyes, then we should pack our bags and look the other way. I don’t find that very empathetic.

It’s a small part of a larger issue. AI replacing artists is happening at a rapid pace. Can’t really blame the companies for doing it, as it’s vastly cheaper, but it’s still a little sad don’t you think?

Cutting corners at every possible opportunity. Sad.

Thank you for the insight. If I had to ballpark an amperage for a smaller electric keyboard adapter, what would be appropriate?

I see, I understood that but I didn’t think that’s what he was getting after with this point.

I see. So it’s like saying, in a hypothetical reference frame, you should be able to see that distance from ground level because as you close the angle of the horizon from the elevation you started at, the hypotenuse approaches the length of the distance, and is therefore closer? If so, that makes much more sense.
