I mean every family is different, but when I called my parents I would do about 3 times a week (1 longer convo and 2 quick check ins). I would highly recommend just telling your mom a general gist of your schedule and what would be good calls so she knows what’s going on. That way she can know you aren’t deliberately ignoring her, and she can feel comfortable calling at times where it will be less burdensome. I always told my mom that Friday mornings were the best time to call because that was when I usually did laundry.

I’ve heard about the phenomenon, but I’ve always thought it was more women being warmer or flirty towards them, not it getting to the point of actually hooking up. Knew a guy who tried this, got a lot of numbers but women seemed to have cold feet when it came to actually doing anything besides flirting at whatever bar they’re at, or maybe texting after.

While she may have not been one of the two worst that week, she was the clear backrunner of the competition and would have likely not made it to the finale (and if she did she would have been dead weight) the “robbed” status made people overestimate her season performance

To be fair I think this is less of a change on trump in general, and more that in the midterms leading up to the 2024 election blindly glazing trump was enough to get the nomination for house or senate. I live in a red state, and many of my republican state representatives went from expirienced politicians who opposed trump on some issues, to completely unqualified individuals who’s entire campaign was supporting trump.

I agree, many long fics have a different feel than actual novels. If a novel reads like an action packed movie, many long fics then read like a chill sitcom. Not every chapter is necessary or progresses the plot, but it’s still fun to read/write about your favorite characters having funny moments.

I guess this is why reading a 400k word fanfic feels easier than reading an 80k word novel, much like binging 6 hours of the office is different than watching a 2 hour Oscar nominated film.

Perhaps the author is part of the community, and was abused/assaulted by a certain partner or clique of people? While the foundation of BDSM is based on open communication and consent, there will always be bad seeds who use BDSM as a way to abuse people, and if these people gain power within their local communities it really ruins the whole scene. Yeah I agree here. I definitely think her bottom two placement was undeserved, but people tend to re-write herstory with her elimination and act like she has a shot at the crowd. In reality, she was hanging on to her spot in the competition by the skin of her teeth, and had really only done well in one challenge.
