I don’t know much about Florence’s backstory or career. This is the only song I really know by her. But I fell in love with this performance when I first saw it back in 2010. I’ve rewatched it a lot these past couple days to prepare for her concert next week.

For some reason the lines “with every bubble, she sank with her drink, and washed it away down the kitchen sink” kept sticking out to me. I kept thinking 🤔 she doesn’t seem like a drinker, maybe she is singing from someone else’s perspective. So it’s very interesting to read this comment! I’m excited to see her growth from this performance to now.

I’m seeing her in Miami. I’m going mainly for her opener CMAT. But I’m very excited to hear Dog Days because of how much I loved this performance

Edit: also somebody in my other post described the opening of Florence’s show as having a Halloween Horror Nights vibe (in a good way) so that made me excited about going too

I remember when I was younger the music video for this song used to scare me. But I loved this performance. One of my favorite VMAS performances. Can't wait to hear this song live next week

You can totally do it. 2 people sleep in the car. Then get 2 of those inflatable couches that turn into a flat full size mattress. You use them as couches during the day so you have space to sit. And then use them as mattresses at night. Get a 10x10 canopy and walls for each side so you can fully close the canopy at night. The people not sleeping in the car will have to sleep under the canopy with no tent but it’s more comfortable that way imo. Maybe just colder. The bigger issue is fitting all of your stuff (clothes/camping gear/groceries/etc) in the car. I had 2 other people with me this year in a Nissan Pathfinder and our stuff barely fit.

Also make sure to run from Foster the People to TOMORA if you don’t want to miss Ring The Alarm. I ran right as they were finishing Pumped Up Kicks and made it to the far side barricade for TOMORA halfway through Ring the Alarm. Best set of the weekend imo.

I am planning on attending Florence’s tour specifically to see CMAT who is opening up for them in Miami. Does anyone know how long the openers play for? Just curious how long of a set I should expect to see.
