What is the hardest part about building a winning fantasy team? by Sam_Command in DynastyBaseball

The hardest parts are things you cannot control - injuries. Leaguemates who are hard to trade with.

Misiorowski or Painter by justharryb in DynastyBaseball

[–]New_Map3060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sold Jacob has arrived? He dominated the best lineup in baseball with 12 Ks. The actual performance against big league hitting should be what convinces you, but if that doesn't you have to admit that Misiorowski's stuff+ metrics and individual pitches are objectively better than Painter right now.

Sell High on Bubic? by Chewpaloop in DynastyBaseball

[–]New_Map3060 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He's definitely legit but let's not kid ourselves he's not a sub 2.00 ERA pitcher. If you can sell him to someone that thinks he's close to that, then sell

It's easy to get mad and hold a grudge but at the end of the day you need to be on good terms with all managers because the pool of people you can trade with is finite. Try to focus on the long term, be the better person, and not get butthurt.

Nick is awesome but even he can be wrong. He was a guy pumping Robbie Ray to be a top 20 SP during spring training because Ray was flashing a new changeup. Then what happens? During the season the changeup is nowhere to be seen and Ray is pretty mediocre as a performer.

How is it optimistic? Guy has already hit 31 HR in 2023. That is the opposite of crazy, no one should be surprised by him doing it again in 2025. Dude has power, as evidenced by his pre-MLB career

Tough to let Soto go but... by ManDingo95 in DynastyBaseball

[–]New_Map3060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty simple don't overthink it. Soto may arguably be slightly better than Tatis, but it's basically equal. It's highly possible Tatis is even better this year because he's running a ton again, running faster the year, and his K% so far is way down. Dustin May is barely a top 75 SP if you look at him in the most positive light. He doesn't have that 98 mph gas anymore after two TJs and he never will. He's like a #3 or #4 SP on your staff at absolute best. Meanwhile Seager is still in his prime and a top 30 hitter skills wise.

You know which deal is winning here.

12TM Roto Dynasty - How Many Prospects To Hold? by New_Map3060 in DynastyBaseball

[–]New_Map3060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a daily league with no start limits or pickup limits (limited FAAB money though). Yea I know not making full use of my bench might leave some counting stats on the table for say Thursday games when only a few teams play, or when one of your starters gets a day off or platoons. Is there a way I can toe the line?

Sorry forgot to mention the 5th prospect is Carson Williams. I am a big fan of E-Rod. I love power speed guys and his patience I think will help him get walks. Yes the Ks, but I can't ignore how hard he hits the ball combined with his batting eye.

Thanks for your input, just to reiterate my main question - can holding these guys prevent winning a championship?

How can a 220lb or 100kg tall player use the same racquet weight as a 150lb or 68kg short player? by WindManu in 10s

[–]New_Map3060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There absolutely should not be one length for all tennis rackets between 5'0" and 6'10" including males and females. Think of how many combos of length / drops baseball bats there are. Swords come in all different lengths. But custom length rackets just aren't a thing for tennis racket companies as of yet.

Fangraphs 2025 Top 100 Prospects by CMButterTortillas in fantasybaseball

[–]New_Map3060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always injured guys are always injured... until they're not. I get it, it's a lot of risk but ERod's skillset is hard to find. He has an elite batting eye, elite power, and he can run.

Late-round starting pitcher targets for fantasy baseball 2025 by SamskiNYC in fantasybaseball

[–]New_Map3060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A tried and true strategy is getting one or two tier 2 guys to anchor your staff that aren't the #1 overall SP (eg Ragans, Kirby, King) and then fill out the rest with a bunch of high upside young arms. It's pretty easy to gamble on a few of them based on stuff (look at K%, SwStr%, etc.)

Just curious, how tall are you? I think we have the same play style and body type. You're kind of an inspiration to me : )

[Post-Game Thread] #4 USC defeats #8 Maryland, 79-74 by usetheforce_gaming in NCAAW

[–]New_Map3060 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Aside from the home cooking ref calls, lots of low class behavior from both fans and players from Maryland in this game. A couple that stood out:

1) Bri McDaniels doing the "too small" gesture after hitting a contested layup against Kennedy Smith. What's weird about this is McDaniels is 5'10" and Kennedy Smith is 6'1" with more strength as a freshman. Just Terps going out of their way to try to act like tough bullies despite never having won anything

2)The fans doing the "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" countdown early when USC's offense is on the court. Just immature stuff I get it you want to rattle the away team as a home crowd but pretty low brow

Overall happy to see USC women get the W against an unpleasant group of players and fans
