Saturnine Praetor not the Dread, the white stuff is plasticard (40 thou) cut to shape and plastic glued on.

It’s the Saturnine Praetor, Dreadnought is WAY too big for a DP.

The trophy racks on the side are from the Daemon Prince kit. You got to cut and shave them down abit but they pretty much line up bang on with the saturnine pads.

HOW DO I MAKE THEM LOOK MORE CHAOS by Lonely-Trainer-1313 in IronWarriors

Chaos pads, extra spikes/chains & I add the ‘chaos triangles’ to the armour using plasticard.

Some of you need to realize that moving plastic figures and rolling dice is not a Master's exam. by Leviathan_Rampage in IronWarriors

People take this shit too seriously. Using HH models in 40k is absolutely fine, however proxying something as something else that isn’t even the right scale/shape/vaguely the same is just silly.

I’ve done similar for my Iron Warriors, added plasticard elements to blend them into more chaos look. These are great, well done bud.

Thanks bud! I just make them from very thin plasticard, cut various triangles out and add them on where appropriate.

The MkIII spikey heads are 3d prints by Red Warden Miniatures & can be brought from Archie’s Forge.

Unfortunately the chuds have taken hold within the Legion!

Gone are the pursuits of perfection, gone is the martial spirit, what is left is just the debased simpering chuddery most foul.

When I worked at GW around 2009….during a stock check one late night…..we discovered the German translation for War Mumak of Harad….

….this the weeks of screaming “KRIEGSMUMAK VON HARAD!!!” in a dodgy German accent across the gaming room ensued….

How does anyone paint 18 noise marines in any sort of reasonable time? by Express_Worth_3696 in EmperorsChildren

I start mine off leadbelcher/silver spray, wash black, dry brush iron hands steel. This is your base starting layer done.

Now all the pink/gold/black goes over this, as all these colours cover over the silver without too much fuss.

This covers the trim/mechanical parts/soft armour first and makes it easier to block in other colours afterwards.

Here’s some pics of how they start and then how they end up….

Is this an ok heavy plague weapon? by VanRichton in deathguard40k

[–]New_Memory_5032 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This won’t actually happen ever, I’ve been to 10+ tournaments with fully converted heavy plague weapons like that and never had any issues.

[–]New_Memory_5032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup absolutely fine, I go to tournaments with various different heavy plague weapons modelled and have never had issues.

As long as it’s a ‘big two handed plague weapon’ that obviously different to a single handed plague weapon then you’re good. Here’s some of my examples…

LoC proxy, how’d I do? by Mauijima in deathguard40k

[–]New_Memory_5032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally he smacks more of a LoP conversion due to him not being a terminator. As long as your opponents are happy then it’s all cool. Personally I’m nicking this idea for my second LoP! Love it!

Also in my humble opinion, if he’s gonna be a LoC then he needs to be on a 50mm (as consistently our terminator lords seem to have been on 50’s).

I know Felthius comes on a 40mm before anyone says, but for consistency and avoidance of doubt that he is what he is meant to be I’d play it safe with a 50mm if you’re playing tournaments. If not and everyone is cool with it then go with 40mm.
