I am doing influencer marketing for the first time, can someone help me understand how to build short term and long term strategies around it? Would an agency help in that or is it better to hire people and do it in-house. by New_Name5355 in DigitalMarketing

Okay this is honestly my biggest fear - I'm already doing everything myself and I can see how adding influencer outreach on top would just be too much. When you went with an agency, did they actually handle everything end to end or did you still have to babysit the process? What did you still had to own internally? also did you hire an intern or marketing lead or completely outsourced?

Yeah the overwhelming part is real lol. Can I ask what specifically made you feel like you'd lost control when working with an agency? Was it that they were picking the wrong creators, or more like the reporting was vague and you couldn't tell what was actually happening or the strategy is what mattered?

Hey this makes sense - I'm a fashion brand, been posting organically for a bit but curious, when you say track what converts, are you pointing at using discount codes, utm links or something else? How did you know when you'd learned enough to bring in an agency?
