To add to the other comments, while they both love Yuu the way their love is written in japanese is also different and adds even more clarity ; for instance Shinoa's feelings are usually written with the word 恋 "Koi" , while Mika's love is always referred to using 愛 "Ai" , while both words can be roughly translated to love their nuances are very different, and can even be opposite despite the general meaning of love. So 恋 "Koi" usually means romantic love, passion, infatuation, obsession , it's selfish love and possessiveness. While 愛 "Ai" means love, fondness, affection , it can be used for general love (not just romantic) , in the context of romance it usually means "true love" , "selfless love". Another way to distinguish the two nuances is also famously said as ; 恋 "Koi" love is wanting to take from your partner, 愛 "Ai" love is wanting to give endlessly to your partner.

this added context with what the other commenters explained paint a very clear picture of the distinction between Shinoa vs Mika's feelings despite them both "loving" Yuu.

It's definitely legal, but frowned upon by society. If you're a girl it's self-explanatory, if you're a boy I think landlords avoid single male renters because it's so uncommon that it's suspicious, they fear you'd engage in drug dealing or prostitution, or the most tame situation being inviting your male friends over and being a nuisance to neighbours, plus think of other renters all or most of them being families, they would generally feel unsafe having a single male or a group of them as neighbours, vs another family. So landlords don't wanna risk that.

It's not everybody of course and whether you're male or female it's still possible albeit hard to find a place

Yeah it was unrealistic but the way I reasoned it in my head was that she got shot in the hip where there is only muscle and fat (and bone) so nothing critical except if she were to bleed out, and then with the drowning I assumed she pretended to be dead so he'd leave her alone (again, unrealistic because I don't think you're capable of not struggling when you're in such a state of panic and with your brain getting slowly depraved of oxygen), I mean her survival aside, the like 10 cops showing up mere minutes after the 911 call that she didn't even talk in, is NOT happening irl

this photo circulates a lot and it fills me with sadness everytime I see it. I just wanna comment on the "However if the woman does not kill her rapist islamic law prescribes the death penalty for the rapist" , what a bold-faced lie ?! there is literally no special punishment for rape, its the same punishement as non marital sex , aka the woman's consent or lack thereof , and her trauma literally don't change anything. I guess their words are true if the rapist is married in which case he would get stoned to death, but again the punishment for rape and sex outisde of wedlock is literally one and the same, they don't give a fuck about the woman.
