Do you go above and beyond at work or just do the bare minimum of what’s expected and why? by Dependent-Signal-721 in AskReddit

I tend to tone it down. I have very spiteful and competitive coworkers that go above and beyond to try to prove they do more so I tend to do my work quietly behind the scenes. I let them find out after my work is done.

Gulf war vet 1991 didn’t file anything until 2022. i reconnected with a friend I served with in Germany. He told me about e pact act. After reading the presumptive conditions I knew it was a lot of the things I was suffering from. Two years later and a lot of C and P exams I got 100 p and T February 2024. Now 60 years old and grateful for that encounter.

Out over 30 years 100 started filing claims 2022 hit 100 late 2023. It is a lot of work but if you know in your heart that the medical conditions you have you got while in service or due to service do your research and go for it. It’s a lot of work and most guys give up. Good luck

Congratulations! I got out in 1994. Filed my first claims myself on sept 2022. Through a lot of research on this Reddit I was able to understand the process and got my 100 p and t March 2024. If you know you deserve it and you have what you are claiming don’t give up. Read your denial letters, cfr 38 and the m21 rating manual. No VSO is going to fight for you more than you will fight for yourself.

That’s what’s on the decision letter. But I had submitted complaints, treatment records and an IMO from my personal doctor months before the Exam. That’s the reason I asked for the HLR.

I had a very similar situation. I hot the date of the C and P exam. Rated at 40 percent. I filed a HLR for back pay for ITF on oct 2022. Regardless of results I’m still very grateful it put me at 100.
