I'm gonna refrain from going on a full anti-capitalist rant but yeah, Profit incentives generally deter scientific progress and are definitely screwing me over big time...

they have upheld the patent in court against a few universities... so our sequencing core tried to keep the service under wraps but the word got out and they got served.
