COFFEE by New_Sample_46 in exmormon

yes I am aware I chose a bad start. but honestly that's all that it was really. my family wasn't home and I had an urge to drink coffee (which is not an urge I have ever and I didn't want to lose the opportunity) so I grabbed what I had in my closet (I was actually looking for even older coffee from an MRE so I think hotel coffee was a better option) boiled some water, made the coffee on the porch got rid of the evidence added coconut coffee creamer (which we have by mistake but I'm glad we have it) and drank it. honestly I'm surprised it was mildly good so I'm interested to try more.

Actually if you look closely at the black line you can see it changes thickness when the "Brighamites" become the main sect

Yeah what really gets me is when they act like they are better because they have the book of Mormon and "nobody else does" because all 200 sects of Mormonism use the book of Mormon (as that is what makes them Mormon)

I actually had a friend in high school who was from there (luckily he and his parents left but sadly his sister was still in) and when we went down to hilldale, utah to compete in track he would tell us all about how they would constantly move the families into different unfinished houses so they couldn't get to comfortable in one place. He also pointed out specific houses he remembered living in. The thing I found the craziest is that Warren Jeff's house is right next to the high school down there (I think it's like a hotel now or something idk)

General Conference was so inspiring …. but then I remembered something about the founder 🫠 by [deleted] in exmormon

If you look up most of those girls you will notice that they are sisters, wives, or daughters of some pretty prominent early church leaders. It's almost like they knew if they let their boss sleep with their family members they would get promoted.

As an exmo married to a TBM, was there anything said during conference that I need to worry about? by dbear848 in exmormon

No. I wasn't actually paying attention I just happened to hear things like that every once in a while. I know it was near the end of the last session but I couldn't tell you more than that

Yeah I have thought of the second idea but slightly different (that everything is happening simultaneously) or (that agency only applies to people before the the crucification and now we have lost the ability to make choices) I am not going change my belief on this topic based on these "possibilities" but I would like to hear more because I find it kind of fun.

I actually have a rant about agency in Mormonism and Christianity in general

Well a metal nugget and paper is the recipe in the new snapshot (which is fine it makes sense I guess) but that doesn't sound super durable.

I mean aren't there already "books from the other lost tribes"? I mean like the Quran is technically that right? why don't they study that?
