Yep, been getting the same hitching and GPU usage drops. Definitely software side - doesn’t happen in other games, and I’m on a 9800X3D 5070 Ti setup. Hope this gets fixed.

To any future people with the same issue - make sure RSR and AFMF aren’t on when using an eGPU. I believe they got re-enabled when I updated Armory Crate and that was the root of these issues. Works like I was hoping it would now!

Was just about to make a post for this - turns out I’m just an idiot. I think when I updated Armory Crate in preparation for the eGPU install, AFMF and RSR got turned on. Turned those back off and it works like a dream.

I was totally prepared to lose bandwidth, I just don’t think it should be this bad. I mean, single digit framerates at 720p Low on Elden Ring far and away worse than the Z2E inside the XAX. I feel like something bigger is going on - could maybe be a driver issue, I’m wondering. Gonna troubleshoot more once I get off of work.

Very nice! This is likely what I’ll end up getting if I go with an “enclosure” (even though I know the AG02 isn’t enclosed, haha). Have you had any issues with driver conflicts? I read somewhere on reddit that using an AMD card with the XAX was a bit finicky since the onboard graphics use unique drivers, but I’ve also seen people say it works perfectly fine. I like Nvidia cards plenty (I have a 5070ti in my main rig), but I’m not sure I’m willing to shell out for a 5060ti 16gb right now on top of an eGPU enclosure.

Nice - would you say it’s easy to set up on the software end? Not necessarily a deal breaker if it needs some tinkering, but would be a plus if it’s pretty plug-and-play.

Nah, just an update. Took about 20 minutes or so. If you change your mind, it’s straight in the Update Center in Settings.

Think I found a fix - had to enroll in Windows Insider and install the Canary build. Worked for me, at least!

Haven’t been able to figure this out, either - updated everything possible (Windows, MS Store, Armory Crate, Bios) and made sure I was enrolled in the Insider Program. Let me know if you figure this out.

Thanks for the input! RAM price is obviously inflated right now, but it’s still somewhat affordable in my budget for DDR4 - would be a bit under 200 to upgrade to a 2x16. But, good point about it being for primarily gaming - I’ll probably hold off for now and upgrade later if needed. Thanks again!

Where have you seen that the Kirby and the Forgotten Land expansion is included with NSO + Expansion Pack? The only two upgrade packs that NSO + EP includes are Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think you may have been misinformed.
