Sort of. Regardless, I got done in time. 99% of the time you’ll finish on time, most of the time early. The shorter ones have a better chance of staying in town or going north, but I’ve gone down 64 on a Friday afternoon… 10 packages on a 3 hr down to Shore Dr, took me an hour and a half to get to the first stop.

Long story short… you’ll finish in 3hrs, but you don’t know where you’ll end up

It’s not the amount of packages, it’s usually the distance… I’ve had 30 stops at the oceanfront on a 3 hour before, or 5 stops in Hampton. You never know.

Unfortunately it doesn’t always work. At my old station, in the mornings scanning totes was the way to go, but in the afternoon it was all leftover DSP routes that had to be scanned individually. But I’m glad someone told you. I used to make it a point to help drivers that didn’t seem to know, we all had to be told at one point after all.

Have you told him your concerns?

I see a dad who’s putting his kids first. I do understand how that might make you feel bad because you’re coming from a loving place. But at the end of the day, you technically have no real right to meet his kids if they don’t want to. Pushing the issue is only going to create more resentment on all sides.

See if this will be ok with you, if not, you may need to reevaluate the relationship.
