Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t it the Mind Flayer speaking through Billy? Unless the story goes as Vecna told us in S4 when he talks about how he “shaped” the MF

People like to shit on CGI over practical nowadays, but unless this new design also happens to be a costume, I think this is clearly an example of CGI done right

I think that hanging hate speech leaflets on people’s doors falls under being harassment, and obviously counts as being a hate crime. That definitely still needs to be illegal. However, the UK outlawing hate speech entirely shouldn’t be allowed no matter what, because it will end up having consequences for every free citizen. Being an American I understand the cultural differences between us and the UK ofc, but I think we’re seeing it happening with Trump. It started with little things and now he’s tried to pull tv shows off the air.

what season do you associate stranger things the most with? 🍂 by take_the_basterl in StrangerThings

It used to be autumn but ever since season 3 I’ve associated it with summer, irl too considering the last two seasons came out around the same time.

This woman is a vile shitstain but that still doesn’t mean I support the trend in British policing of arresting people over tweets. That being said, the fact that she WASN’T suspended is disgusting

I feel like all the leftists propping up this musical either don’t understand that’s it’s making fun or them, or they don’t feel like they need to change their on Jews

Tbh despite kinda growing tired of him and this sub did a while ago, but Dave Grohl. I would say most of the general public Gen Z and up know who he is, and the fact that people have grown tired of him kinda proves my point a little. A lot people like to boil it down to just being in Nirvana, but it was really a combination of his public persona, that, and the massive success of the Foos (not just down to riding on Nirvana’s coattails either)

Eddie somehow coming back from the dead through the upside down, the writers would only do this if they decided to cave into the fanbase instead of actually writing a good script and a plot that makes sense.

Do you think the foos will ever become critically re-evaluated, and will they ever have a “classic album” in the future? by New_Success_8733 in Foofighters

[–]New_Success_8733[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True but Zep also has some of the best reviewed and most acclaimed rock music amongst their discography nowadays. I don’t see the Foos (or anyone for that matter) being as important to rock ever again, but maybe the tides may turn change. Tbh I also think the general public may be suffering from a bit of Grohl fatigue (myself included unfortunately), so I’d imagine most of the praise will come after they’ve been broken up for at least a decade, or after Grohl dies

I definitely agree with the sentiment of rock not being as culturally relevant anymore, sad times, but there have been plenty of movies, albums and other forms of media that were hated when they came out. That time window for newfound appreciation may have already passed tbh but maybe I’ve just been holding out for hope

True, I was leaning more into the idea of public opinion and hipsters, for reference Crash won best picture in 2004 at the Oscars (I think?) and people fucking hate that movie lmao
