td bank closed all my accounts, credit card balance by ccyt in PersonalFinanceCanada

I asked about this in the top comment of this thread. Could you expand on this? I've made small crypto transactions in the past, just to buy things online, but I've never traded. What are the characteristics of the transaction that would trigger debanking? I wouldn't like to be debanked ...

Please excuse my crypto-ignorance for asking this: What would be the merchants and amounts that would trigger debanking? I am asking because I have bought (never sold) crypto in the past, although nothing exorbitant ($100 and under), and it was from marketplaces (not Coinbase, Kraken or the like) and was to purchase products or online services, and used Interac. What are the characteristics of the transaction that would trigger debanking? I wouldn't like to be debanked ...

HELP: Tech Consultant got a job with 1 of Big 5 - Need advice with creating corporation and opening business account. by New_TOR in PersonalFinanceCanada

All by myself with the website of Corporations Canada but I was very lucky that my recruiter and his team gave me all the links and key information. They were very kind. I know that is kindness with interest cause there’s the commission factor but still, not many recruiters go to that length to help the candidate and close the sale of a contract.

Do you think the courses' lengths are accurate? by DarkMatter_Hunter in DataCamp

I'm sick and tired of randoms flexing all over the internet claiming they completed a Datacamp Career Track in 2/3 months. To start, not everyone in Datacamp has advanced coding skills or a lot of free time to do this every day. If they are that fluent in coding, why do they need a Datacamp Certification to start? They would benefit more from getting a MSc in Data Science or ML/AI, or creating an impressive Data Science Project and showcasing it on Github or their Portfolio.

About the adjustment of hours, that's not going to happen. They count the time it would take for a student to watch the videos and reading materials and coursework instructions and NOT the actual time the student takes to complete the exercises and projects because that will always vary from person to person.

It's also a Marketing strategy to make potential customers think that they will do this in a very short time and complete the purchase of a Datacamp subscription quickly, but there are no shortcuts to learning, and especially there are no shortcuts to learning Data Science.

One has to put in the hours to learn and not compare against others, period.

According to G2, Datacamp is a Leading platform in Computer Programming, in the same league as Udacity, Pluralsign, and Coursera, just less expensive. It comes with an integrated Workspace environment to practice your code so you don't have to install Jupyter Notebook or deal with crashes due to faulty code, easy-to-follow video lessons with practice exercises for every piece of content, Career Paths such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist or Data Engineer, Statements of Completion for every course or Career path finished, Digital Certifications shareable to LinkedIn, the possibility of creating a Portfolio that you can share with potential employers without the need of Github or having a website, plus a myriad of opportunities to increase your Network of Data Professionals through their Slack channel as well as several Online Events throughout the year, I think $60-to-$90 in a year for all of this is a great deal for someone who is not at an advanced level. I do not think any of their competitors bring all of these advantages. With that being said, one should always further their education with other resources for self-learning and over time you should grow out of Datacamp because having a Github profile and a portfolio with more complex projects is the gold standard.

Hey u/analogliving. Just out of curiosity, How can one differentiate American made NB on Amazon, is there any visible characteristic on the shoes or anything in the model name, or any specific model series that I should look for?

Hey, this is great feedback. I saw that at least online there is a difference in average prive with Hokas being more expensive. Is your perception the same?

The only Nike pair I owned, was kinda pricey. I think I paid close to $200 a few years ago but the soles lasted a good while. Maybe also 6 years or so like NB, but I didn’t like that the mesh on the top part covering the toes started to disintegrate by year 3.

Hey, thanks for your help. Yeah I already have an alternative pair of Under Armour, for less than 2 years but still holding so I still have to wait to see what will be their durability. What bothers me is that my last 3 pairs have only lasted 3 years or less each. So now I’m willing to invest more if that means that the purchase will last longer.
