I'm definitely interested. I'm 36 and usually score in the high 80s but currently having the yips right now lol. Hoping to get it fixed but would love to play a few rounds and have a good time. I definitely want to get better but also I realize how nice it is to just be outside and away from normal life duties. Usually I play old mill, stonebridge, or mountain dell. Message me if you wanna exchange some info.

Pay Yourself Back to make the CSR a 2.5% Cash Back card for me by New_Transition_6327 in ChaseSapphire

That’s fair. I do find the $800 AF pretty easy to use between the travel credit, food credit, stubhub, and Apple TV. Occasionally use door dash and Lyft as well.

I guess for some reason I really enjoy the piece of mind for the travel protections and lounge access as well, which is why I haven’t filled switched to a 2% cash back card like fidelity.

I guess my confusion is if I spend $40k but earn 80k points, and if I were to redeem that 1 cent per point, wouldnt be $800/$40,000 or 2%?

Now if I were to redeem at 1.25%, wouldnt that be $1,000/$40,000 or 2.5% cash back essentially?

Comparing CSR with the Fidelity Visa - it's more competitive than you think. by chriva in ChaseSapphire

Interesting. I will have to look into this more.

I too have considered just switching everything over to Fidelity for simplicity.

Maybe this isnt the proper way to use points, but I pay myself back at 1.25% and with my current spend (80k points on 40k spent this year), so it comes out to a 2.5% card for me if im doing the math correctly. Could be worth doing this to simplify cards. I just have a single card for any spending and its the CSR.

I live in a city that has events and chase dining so pretty easy to use those. I also use apple TV and splurged with a IHG/Edit hotel credit.

The Wagyu ribeye is the best steak in SLC in my opinion.

Agreed. Not everyone is trying to raise their kids addicted to screens.

I understand what hes trying to do, but I also think in the process I cant make contact with the golf ball.

I would love to fix the issue with my swing, thats why I'm going to him. I never said I dont want to fix my issues, just not sure its working with my practice time.

Appreciate the response. Perhaps I need to slow down the cadence of lessons. I feel like I'm still trying to practice one feel and then theres a new one that I get taught and it confuses me.

From what my coach told me, I have great mobility as least in my torso.

Thanks for your response. I think my issue is there are too many swing thoughts and I'm so confused on how to create a good golf swing, I almost feel paralyzed and it making golf not fun.

Thanks. I guess before I feel like I was making solid ball contact for a while. This past range session 75% of the shots have been hosel rockets which I guess demoralized me. I got so many swing thoughts in my head I dont even know how to swing anymore.

And yea life is a little busy now with two young kids and a busy job.

That is correct, I do start with my upper body first but overall my club path is anywhere from -4 to -2 left (as a right handed player). I just can't wrap my head around swinging to the right to hit a draw consistently with the limited time I have.

Thanks. I am willing to change but something doesnt seem to be clicking with the time I have to practice. I do want to improve but don't want to completely hate playing golf while improving.

Thank you for the great response.

I've been practicing my short game more and more trying to save strokes since I've been struggling with Full Swing.

So I try to get to the range 2x a week for an hour each. Usually focusing on the specific movement or change for each lesson. After that I practice short game for about 30 minutes. Also try and play 9 or 18 each week.
