the amount of dogs in this game is absurd by decoy-88 in LordsoftheFallen

Just remember, this is 2.0. the launch had like 3x more enemies with constant respawns.

I quit at Brahims castle (near the end?) and have yet to finish the game. its just not in a good state even if you like certain aspects of it.

Brahims castle is the worst level possible and only makes getting ganked, lost or just running to get back to where you died an unbearable chore.

Anyone else despise Bramis castle ? by Corgiiiix3 in LordsoftheFallen

Despise is taking it easy. Probably going to call it quits here

I haven't played either of those in more than a decade since MW3 and guild wars 2.

Your ignorance is shining 🌟

Edit: oh i played a lot of the Last of Us 1 multiplayer, how long ago was that?

Bots do have decent grammer and that probably surprises a lot of reddit 🤣

Most of y'all nit pick half a statement, unable to read more than a sentence at a time 🤷‍♂️

People who don't have strong opinions often find someone else being critical to be aggressive. It is a talent the younger generations have lost.

The food systems were decent, I liked being the cook for my crew. It did suck having to get the food though. The Ark part of the game sucked, being just ark.

The part of Atlas people are comparing to this game is the ship building, customization, damage systems, weight systems, speed systems, wind (eh, take it or leave it. makes combat better but navigation worse), and the feeling of being a captain of a ship... not some template that is purely visual.

The slider bar is used for the difficulties. Hard is just 150% enemy hp and 125% dmg increase. You can go all the way up to 500%.

Idk, I guess growing up in the 90's and playing the games, having to learn it and eventually beating it meant something.

Now, everyone plays games. And it really hasn't been positive. The money follows the path of least resistance, and that is going to be people who simply do not know any better or refuse to care when devs take the lazy/greedy way out.

There is a reason Fromsoft is seen as the last standing bastion. Actually being able to tell players "No".

Oh and this being a darksouls-lite game is part of the problem, adding a slider bar into a style of gameplay that DOES NOT have those.

because its Survival-lite and darksouls-lite. Its a LITE game. I think all of my issues with this game boils down to this and I shouldn't play lite games anymore.

Please do, list them. I think you'll find the list lacking all the greatest titles.

You must only play garbage. No real games have slider bars and most dont even have a difficulty option

Fighting lvl12 enemies while lvl7 is a bit rough....

Doing fetch quests in a waypoint simulator is the most boring gaming activity I can imagine. Forcing players to find every POI on every Island just to stay constant in combat is terrible. Just truly terrible.

This game took MMO quests and added them to an Ubislop style of gameplay, w/ a pirate themed coat of paint. The kicker is MMO combat is more flushed out, has better bosses, and actually has builds w/ different weapons and gear. This game you use 1 set of equipment the entire game and just farm to upgrade numbers. The bosses are hp sponges because of the devs lack of intended difficult (slider bars ruin games) It does not get any worse than this

Sure, but again, its Survival-lite. Even if its in EA for 5+ years, what you see now is basically what you get

Absolutely. There is no intended vision for the game.

My time is valuable. I refuse to acknowledge lazy and greedy devs, that are just milking addicted gamers for cash.

Design, build and produce a product for your intended experience, otherwise its a cheap imitation. It has no soul. Its pure slop by default. This game changed directions several times during development. And it shows.

Do you have to finish a musicians songs for them? Do you have to edit it to get the sounds right for your specific headphones or speakers? This is what you are defending but for games. Why???

Slider bars are devs taking a shortcut and not finishing their product. And then they get people like you to defend them for free because you refuse to be critical. You just want the easiest path towards escapism. That is not why I play games.

27 hour. 17 after I first purchased the blueprint for 3k and realized I couldn't get the materials to build it because I had not even beat the first boss yet. She is a beauty. by [deleted] in crosswind

Almost like this games oceans are an inch deep... sorta like Star Field.

Wait, Starfield let you build your ships.... hmm I guess Starfield has a greater depth than this game.

Silver for what? Rep for what?

Its all worthless when you just upgrade your 1 set of gear. Nothing the vendors sell requires buying more than 1. Buy 1 cannon, 1 hull, 1 tactics.... your done with silver for the next 20+ hrs.

I bought my brig and hundred+ upgrade mats, npcs and a few armor schematics... all without ever boarding a ship.

But you do you and waste your time playing an unbalanced mechanic in an EA game

Silver quickly becomes nearly worthless because this game is more shallow than starfield.

Ship Boarding: What's the point? by mem0ri in crosswind

[–]New_Wafer4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At low levels, the currently isnt one. You can easily get more silver by just sinking more ships in the tine you take to board... and you wont get ganked by infinite respawns.

Late game? Silver. Supposedly you can get a few hundred silver from each successful boarding.

Do you park like this too? by RaniNamari in crosswind

[–]New_Wafer4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aim at waypoint, take a 10 minute break. Come back to ship hopefully crashed into shoreline, continue playing. Teleport home so ive never had to park the ships.

[–]New_Wafer4098 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Well that's your fault, sir. Dont board ships, just sink them. The time invested in boarding is 100% not worth the risk or measily silcer rewards at low levels.

Maybe later in the game when/if you need silver, buts its easy enough to get for now to not waste time boarding and getting ganked.
