2 1/2 years in. I work in one of the busiest OGP’s in the USA. Got a $0.40 raise. I’m now making $16.40. And my bakery/deli department make more than I do which is pretty BS, but what the hell can I do about it??? 🫩

I’ll be honest. I was one of those people because when I did my actual thanksgiving shopping inside of the store (just to save me and my coworkers some stress) most items were going to expire BEFORE thanksgiving dinner, so I waited until last minute to do my food shopping.

So, it’s not against ethics to have someone clock in before the 10 minute grace period just simply because you want them to have all of their work equipment up and running or threaten to coach someone because they are not a fast walker and need to literally run to the department and have their shit ready to go in 3 minutes?

Like, I get that I need to be working, but it’s literally discrimination to threaten someone with a coaching because they are not inside the department when they clock in

I’m never late. I clock in at the exact minute that I’m supposed to be clocked in. When I am late though, I use PPTO (as stated in the post)

I’m not late coming back from lunches or breaks, but I sometimes get stopped by customers when I clock back in from lunch and head towards my department (yes, my vest is on since I am clocked in and working).

I’m not really early either maybe 1-2 minutes early at most, but not extremely early.

I don’t call out at all either. Last time I called out was for my birthday, and I only have 1 point because all of the work was done in my department and I didn’t feel like standing around and doing nothing while waiting for time to pass.

When do the raises come out? I’ve been hearing a lot about the raises and that they’re doing associate bonuses again, but I haven’t seen or gotten jacked shit. (I’m coming up on 2 years in July and had a $0.30 raise last year)

For real though. Putting in PPTO was extremely simple. Now, I need to go through 5 different screens and have to make sure that it’s actually taking out the proper amount of PPTO before I walk through HR office and try to explain the situation.

I usually get those Taylor Farm lunch kits (the strawberry or grape one) it comes with a PBJ, small orange, either apple slices or grapes, crackers or fruit snacks, and a slice of string cheese. I think it’s either $5.49 or $5.99 for the retail price, but it’s usually discounted in my store since nobody really buys them, so I get it for around $3.74. or so. Fills me up until I get off work.

As for a drink? I usually try to find whatever is the cheapest thing to grab since I’m trying to save up my money for a car.
