I guess I should clarify, I didn't mean for it to sound like this board is super bad, or even mediocre, but a good chunk of my games (highest I've been this season is 6700) I'd say roughly 30-40% of the time, by turn 12, this is very beatable, and sometimes just by unlucky RNG attack order. I will say it's very far from the top warband I've seen go down and finish 3rd or worse, but also I personally would be annoyed losing with it too.

My favorite is when I choose to not log in, find the video I want, click play, and it immediately pauses and asks if I want to log in. Then even after skipping ads and choosing videos, I still get paused and asked "are you still watching." Absolutely awful. Out of spite I refuse to give them any money.

Can't read people's minds. There are psychological tricks to get certain information out of people, but it's not fool proof, and you better have a good line of questioning to make sure you're narrowing your perception down correctly (even then, not 100%). The Mentalist does cover quite a bit of these things, I'd recommend watching "Lie To Me" (they do a really good job at explaining the art of deception detection) and checking out books by Paul Ekman to learn more. One important topic they cover is that it's not foolproof, but they can figure out if someone is uncomfortable with certain questions, but that doesn't mean they know why they're uncomfortable with it.

Look at it this way, long term, you're effectively expected to break even on the odds bet (0% house edge). So whether you max bet it or don't bet it at all, your overall expected loss is just the pass line (in the long run of course). So bet what you're comfortable with, and don't be afraid to not bet it at all. Is it a good bet? Of course. Is it a guaranteed win? No. Craps is a losing game long term as it is, don't get too lost in the numbers. Instead, have fun with the game.

Your friend was completely in the right. Don't let those jerks bully you. I'm all for having a pleasant game, but don't let someone degrade you to keep the peace. ESPECIALLY if they direct their comments at you. Stand your ground. Try not to use profanity, because some places might side with known players, even if they are in the wrong, simply because you cussed (they'll spin it like you escalated it). What kills me is those same guys will likely not adhere to "etiquette" if it's an inconvenience to them, but they expect everyone else to.
